You started with personal attacks. I like you. You star Ye d with the “make it make sense” shot like you’re some kind of super smart person that knows more than everybody i was just saying booty is hype job. look at his record. Compare it with other hype jobs throughout history and you’ll see the striking similarities
I had to google that phrase because you made me doubt myself.
“Make it make sense” is a short, casual way to say, “Explain this in a way that’s logical.”
The person saying it wants to jokingly point out an absurd situation. It’s a popular slang phrase on social media and in memes and GIFs
Turns out I was right so you mistook my question as a personal attack. It certainly was not.LAchargers373 likes this.

My apologies. My bad I took it the wrong way. Misunderstanding. I say that sometimes to people but I say it when I’m trying to make fun of them lol. Booty the next andrade though bro. I was a big ennis dan for years I watched him come up but his career path is that of hype job. If he wasnt a hype job logic tends to side with the fact he would have by this point in his career been in there with some better competition. Think of the greats or really any top fighters in history. How many reach 28 years old and haven’t fought anyone of note? The ones that make it that far getting email titles and dropping out of mandatory shots to avoid fighters(Crawford) are always exposed bro. Always. He waiting around to fight barrios man. Effin barrios is his main target and him and his team think that’s a legitimate acceptable fight. Tells you all you need to know about ennis. Even bread man having 2nd thoughts go read his last bread bag lol
Don’t sweat it bro! A lot can be lost in translation especially on platforms like this.
So I found out that Norman was offered $1.2 million to fight Boots and he turned it down. Apparently, he then took $200k in his next fight.
I don’t speak on absolute terms but those are tales going around. I don’t knock on him at all. Perhaps he feels a fight with Boots could potentially be worth $5 million by end of next year. Both him and Boots can unify against the two nondescript guys and then fight to unify the division a Bud and Crawford.
It would be no different from Bud and Spence. Two undefeated WW squaring off for the 2nd WW unification in history.
Wouldn’t that be something?

I think it was a great fight and I think Boots put on a very good performance against a very good fighter. Karen beats a lot of people at 147, in my opinion. I really don't like how Eddie Hearn was talking about him, saying it wasn't a good performance and all that. And then to say he's trying to get Boots Vergil Ortiz at 154 next, he shows he doesn't care about Boots. I don't care who you are, you shouldn't move to 154 and take Vergil Ortiz in your 1st fight up there. Hell no... Yes, Boots can learn more. All fighters can, but the skills he posseses are second to none. Who is more skilled than him, who? All Boots has to do is correct his impulse to try too hard for the knockout. With his skill and speed, he could soften guys up with basic boxing without taking any unnecessary punches in the process. And then when he soften the guy up and weaken him, he can turn up at the appropriate time, similar to the strategy that Tank employs, and he would get that knockout everytime he fights. Boots' problem is similar to what Meldrick Taylor's was. He's so gifted and talented enough to where he could avoid taking punches altogether, but he quickly gets bored with boxing because he prefers to fight.
Also, Meldrick had super fast hands but never had the ability to be a defensive fighter. Plus he had extremely short arms so he had to be in range more often than not and never accounted for return fire. The similarities with Boots is the Philly gym mentality and I hope it doesn’t end for Boots like it did for Meldrick.Last edited by SweetPbfAli; 11-18-2024, 02:47 AM.

Karen also had success because Boots footwork is awful so he was able to set lateral traps while Boots was gathering his feet. Basically, any fighter that is good at attacking off angles is going to give him problems and if they have pop, they might stop Boots. We can’t keep saying he’s “bored” or he needs higher competition. He’s been getting touched up by dudes mostly not even in the top 10 and people expect to magically see him correct all his flaws at the highest level? It doesn’t work that way. He’s stagnant because his level of opposition has been mediocre far too long and he’s surrounded by yes men that don’t call out his constant mistakes.

After this trip, please report back to Boxingscene with your findings. Instead of yes men, you could be exactly what Boots needs in his camp to get better and fix all his flaws
