He is still the same fighter just older. He wasn't beating the caliber guys he's recently lost to because he never fought them. He was fed a steady diet of unranked bums. In his only title defense of a number 1 contender he almost lost. Luis Ortiz. But the WBC is also to blame because they let him get away with it

Hopefully, Wilder has looked at his fights with Parker and Zhang and recognizes that he has slipped considerably. He can't just wing it and fight the top guys in the division. He needs to get back into top form so that he is no longer hesitating to fight and throw punches. He needs to step back and regroup.

This is what I believe it will take for Wilder to get back into top form. Have FIVE fights in one year. Forget about the Saudi Arabia Riyadh cards. Fight D-tier, C-tier and B-tier level fighters until he gets back his killer instinct and no longer fights scared and defensively. Fight comeback fights until he truly becomes the Bronze Bomber again, who fights smart but aggressively, and is knocking people out within the first three rounds.

Then rematch Parker and Zhang or FIGHT JOSHUA in Riyadh. All within a year. If he's successful, he's back in top form and ready for his final run. Otherwise, he should stay retired.
