Which fight made you convinced Jaron 'Boots' Ennis is the real deal?

And when did you come to know Ennis' presence or existence in the boxing scene?

None so far. A talented kid who has yet to step up. It's easy for him.to look good vs cans.

1st heard about him about 8-10 years ago in Vegas.

He's got the skills, but I'm not convinced he's the real deal until he starts actually challenging himself. Easy to show skills when you're levels above limited competition. Harder to look the same when you're fighting elite competition, and not only has he not done that, he's actually avoided top fights or his dad has turned them down on many occasions to date. He's got a long history already of avoiding those opportunities to prove himself. Personally, I'm convinced he's going to be a (super) welterweight version of Tank Davis, never fighting any of the top guys in his era, and chasing belts held by lesser competition. There's literally dozens of killers near his weight class, and instead of those guys, he wants to fight Barrios, but didn't want to sign with PBC to get that fight or Stanionis? If he didn't have that power, I'd call him the welterweight version of Shakur Tweeterson.

I first saw him during covid, and that was his fight with Lipinets. I had no clue who he was and months later learned that was his 29th fight when he's beginning to be talked about. Frankly, I didn't think much of him after that fight.

Neither did I. Lip was a small guy who only moved up cause he couldn't get a fight at 140. Lips best weight was 135-140. So beating him didn't tell me anything other than he did what he was supposed to do to a smaller fighter

And Lipinets was the more known guy because of his fight with Mikey Garcia.

29th fight, thus one can't help but wonder why he and his team didn't try to fight his fellow 147 fighters like Kavaliaskas, prime Avanesyan, even out of prime Guerrero, Khan, Brook, Victor Ortiz, Berto, Josesito Lopez, Collazo, and many others.
