  • Comments Thread For: Bam Rodriguez new deal, early look at Nov. 9 defense

Already a pound-for-pound fixture and a top attraction who has helped uplift boxing’s lower weight classes with several landmark wins, junior bantamweight titleholder Jesse Rodriguez – only 24 and with a full, brilliant career still seemingly ahead of him – would be the pride of any promotion from Los Angeles to London.

Yeah, I don't see anyone in that division beating him. Maybe a fight with Nakatani a division up would be the challenge for him.

    He is a special fighter.

A fight with the Japanese champion could be a FOTY candidate, and the old war saying "bombs away" could be the slogan for that fight.

Both those guys are just so dang good. Bam has looked like he is avoiding Nakatani though. Moved back down to fight for Nakatani's vacated belt at 112 when Nakatani moved up, and then moved back to to 115 when Nakatani moved up to 118. Looks sus, as the kids say, although I think the world of Bam.

I was thinking the same thing. Not fair for the little fighter to have to carry the revenue. Matchroom shouldve paired Bam and Pacheco.

Yeah that's perfect. Depending on the opponent they can switch headliner too.
