Comments Thread For: Oscar De La Hoya refuses to dismiss the threat Tevin Farmer poses to William Zepeda

Oscar De La Hoya's excitement was palpable as he discussed William Zepeda's upcoming bout against Tevin Farmer on November 16 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The fight, featured on the "Latino Night" card broadcast by DAZN and promoted by Golden Boy Promotions, is more than just a matchup - it's a test that could define Zepeda's readiness for a title fight against Shakur Stevenson.

Farmer couldn't keep up with Jo Jo Diaz or Muratalla and so how is he going to keep up with Zepeda. Oscar overselling the opponent as always.....full of sht.

I agree. This is a one sided fight. It will be a wash. Some fights i don't even tune in for at all.

Yeah okay. Even the diehard fans knows Tank and Zepeda's opponents are better matched which says a lot.

Farmer wont be able to keep up with that kind of pressure. Shakur would be different story tho.

Not stating that this is a top fight nor that it is deserving to be a bout to earn a title shot to become the mandatory.

As Farmer is coming off a loss to the deserving actual challenger to Zepeda, Raymond Muratalla who got turned down for the Riyadh undercard.

Being that said, Tevin Farmer has not made super featherweight for years and his previous four bouts were at 135. He is also stylistically a opponent to prepare against the likes of Shakur Stevenson. So I say it's a good stay busy that's not deserving to be in a big event.

Getting hit in the head is no excuse for dishonesty. DLH has gone bad. Ever since the fishnets I guess he lost his shame.

I see De la Hoya has visited South America recently. Sounds like he had a great time…
