Canelo Alvarez's best wins, are still in my opinion Miguel Cotto, Shane Mosley and Gennady Golovkin 'People can choose ether one of those performances skill for skill as his best ever performance. But I would honestly rate ether victories vs Miguel Cotto or Shane Mosley as his overall best wins. Because they are individually the best fighters he has fought, who he was victorious against'.

Note:The best fighters Canelo Alvarez has fought pound for pound, were fighters that he fought mostly during his Welter Weight and Super Weight Weight stages of his career. Floyd Mayweather Junior, Shane Mosley, Miguel Cotto, Erislandy Lara. Gennady Golovkin is skill for skill the best fighter, he has fought and won against since leaving the welterweight divisions'.

To conclude: If Canelo Alvarez was to rematch Dimtri Bivol, and win the fight at 175 pounds 'Then I would also rate that potential win, alongside his victories against Miguel Cotto, Shane Mosley and Gennady Golovkin. But I would not be so quick, to place this win above those past wins. Because skill for skill, I definitively believe that Miguel Cotto and Shane Mosley pound for pound are better fighters than Dimtri Bivol.

The best fighter Canelo Alvarez has ever fought win or lose, is Floyd Mayweather Junior 'The best fighters, he has fought and won against are Miguel Cotto, Shane Mosley and Gennady Golovkin. The only potential fights, that rate anywhere near those fighters skill for skill are against Arthur Beterbiev and a rematch vs Dimtri Bivol' etc.

Lmao...a fight where multitudes of analysts and boxer thought GGGrandpa won?

That wasn't the fight I watched.

I just saw Canelo beating the tar out of him for 12 rounds & I am no fan of Cinnamon & was rooting for Jacobs, bigly.

I just don't understand how can Shane Mosley be included as one of his best wins if he was shot 40 year old fighter? He was a brand name used to catapult a upcoming Canelo's in the united states.

He might be HOF but at that stage he loses to a regular top contender in the same division or a champion like Austin Trout. Cotto though he wasn't as over the hill compared to Shane as he had a good streak of wins beforehand. The bout is a similiar case to Mayweather vs De La Hoya or Inoue vs Donaire.

Also realistically, a fighter climbing up from 154 to 175 against a accomplished and physically on his prime Dmitry Bivol is a better win even if P4P they are more skilled in their prime, also want to mention that Canelo wasn't nowhere near close of winning the first bout and his odds are significantly quite less in the rematch where he is in the downslide. He just doesn't have the means to beat Bivol.

Unfortunately there is no sarcasm font. I agree with you about his performance yet, if I recall correctly, it was somehow a majority decision..

Joking aside, I would say his best wins against fighters in their "prime" would probably be GGG2, Danny Jacobs or even BJS.

I see, it was a mistake on my part however that I couldn't distinguish the sarcasm.

Also you mean somehow Canelo won a scorecard despite losing a shout out performance?? Like he did with Bivol?

How come Billy Joe Saunders and not someone like Plant or Lara?

Get some glasses and watch the fight again. Canelo barely has to do anything for the fan boys to believe he is beating the tar out of someone lol. I guess he also beat the tar out of plant the whole fight right?

No mistake on your part, I'd be confused if I read my post. This site really should have a sarcasm font.

Canelo is a very good fighter and has a very strong resume but he's also had nearly every benefit in his matches since around that performance against Mayweather (and likely well before). The fact that a judge scored the fight with Floyd a draw tells you that. The Bivol fight was another example.

The Lara fight was a very good win, albeit very close, I suppose you could put it up there. I rate the BJS win high because he was an undefeated, tricky fighter who knew how to get into opponents' heads and force the fight at his pace. Canelo savagely stopped him by breaking his face.

Plant was also undefeated and had skills but I don't think he presented the same puzzle that BJS did. I don't like Saunders, can't stand him actually, but I think he was an incredibly awkward fighter who would present a lot of opponents trouble.

I don't recall anyone beating the tar out of the other in the Jacobs fight. Its been a while but I recall that it was a dreadfully paced fight with little real action and not a whole lot to separate the two other than Alvarez was the aggressor.

Actually most fighters and trainers had canelo winning that fight, and GGGrandpa was ranked at the top of the P4P rankings..
                      but is just my opinion...
