According to the rules of boxing Gypsy Belly was TKO'd. He was leaning against the ropes defenseless but he was not off his feet with the ropes holding him up. If a count was given each time the ropes prevented a fighter from falling over backwards there would be 10 knockdowns in every round. He was legitimately stopped and the referee gave him a second chance

It's going to very very heavily weighted for calculating Tyson Fury's place among his fellow heavyweight greats.
A very, very important fight for his legacy.
Being bounced off the floor like a basketball by Wilder, holding the linear title hostage due to inactivity, ******ity playing around with a harmless MMA champion, and dropping a squeaker to the skilled and resourceful Usyk can all be overlooked, and will be; if Fury regains the title in style.
But if he loses this rematch; he sinks clearly below the real great ones forever.
It's just like that.Comment

For this stylistic matchup Usyk had to be the pressure fighter. It’s very difficult to box someone with fury’s dimensions. I’m not saying Usyk is going to square up and try to walk down fury, but he will be using his feet, feinting, cutting angles and being aggressive like he did the first fight. However this time with the assurance that he can hurt fury. When you know you can hurt and guy and take his power, you can press harder.Comment

I literally don't understand this interv***? Don't get caught?.In boxing you get caught. Fury took one too many, couldn't take the powerLast edited by hugh grant; 11-03-2024, 02:34 PM.Comment

There is no way this would be anything like Fury - Wilder rematch. You just cant rush to Usyk and try to knock him out.Comment

Doesn't "TKO" imply a fighter is unable to continue? If a fighter is knocked down and falls, versus is against the ropes, does this indicate he should be stopped? Fury seemed to want to try to avoid being dropped and was in full control of his faculties otherwise, the proof being the continuation of the fight.

I like Fury but he has to come out and be more consistent in each round against Usyk. The biggest change that Fury must made is that he has to stop clowning around and keep his hands up against Usyk. He is at the age where at 36 his reflexes aren't the same as they were when he was in his 20s or even early 30s. Jab, lean on Usyk more, use his size and bully Usyk. Losing a few more pounds won't hurt him either. We will see when fight night comes, if he can make simple adjustments to win the fight against Usyk.Comment
