Comments Thread For: Regis Prograis questions if Devin Haney will ever be the same fighter
On Saturday, Regis Prograis returns for the first time since losing to Devin Haney when he takes on Jack Catterall at the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester, England, on DAZN.

It was more than a beating. Haney regards himself as very smart fighter. Garcia, who I wouldn't consider a genius, whipped Haney with his mind. Thats what has Haney so mentally torn. He was beaten by a dummy who cant fight near as well as he can. He just cant grasp the FACT that Haney got whipped by HANEY.
He needs to wake up and admit to himself that HE HELP Garcia whip him.
When he eventually realizes HIS F-uck UP.
He then can fix the problem and then challenge Garcia again. Garcia will take the fight. Haney should win if he is honest with himself on his mistake. Should be pretty easy for him too.
This clown chirps way too much. Let's do some basic math here. Haney OWNED Regis and Garcia OWNED Haney. If I were Regis, I would just keep my mouth shut and stop embarrassing myself.
Catterall by very wide and very easy UD. I'd be shocked if Regis wins more than two rounds. He wasn't competitive against Haney. He has zero shot against Catterall.
I think Regis has some talent. He played right into Haney... Including this fiction that he was the bigger fighter. In reality he was fighting a guy his size, maybe even a pound or so bigger, who could basically outbox him if he went in there guns blazing. Regis imo fought like he thought he was the larger man thinking he would walk Devin down. He should have taken a lesson from that Messican at the state fair who jostled Devin between his friends in order to make Devin miss with his own bomb.
Seriously though I do not know a lot about his opponent... Cannot predict anything, just feel like Regis is better than that Haney fight would alone indicate. Haney is best when n opponent tries to apply even pressure and starts making mistakes... Haney gets in trouble when a fighter really goes after him, and when a fighter does not come forward as aggressively.
Dude got washed and kd multiple times by featherfisted Haney, he has no room to talk
Prograis is a bum killer and did what he had to do in the beginning of his career against C level opponents. But the couple times he's stepped up, he's lost. Won't be surprised at all if Catteral beats him too.

Prograis is talking about Haney, Matias, and other fighters instead of concentrating on Catterall who he's fighting next.
Haney already beat him decisively, I believe Matias would annihilate him, and Catterall is going to beat him decisively as well.
Prograis defeat at the hands of Haney is a matter of fact, Prograis losing to Matias, and Catterall is is a matter of opinion, my opinion that is.
Prograis used to let his fist do the talking for him, as his skills have diminished he's relied more on his mouth to do the fighting for him.
Hnaey's problems are His problems, Matias' problems are his problems, you need to worry about your own problems not theirs!
The truth is Haney, Subriel, and Prograis all have questions to answer in their next fight"(s), and they better answer those questions without any if's, and's, or but's, about it!

I am with you on this one - his skills have diminished and he talks too much. Why on earth is Regis talking about Haney and offering 10 excuses for a fight that happened months ago? Thinking and talking about other opponents other than the one in front of you is always a bad sign and elite fighters never do it. Offering 10 excuses for a loss is also something the elite do not do. They accept the loss like a man and prepare better for the next fight. Regis is on a down slide and is talking about his next contract and who will offer him the most money. If he loses his next fight, I am not sure many promoters will be lining up to sign him up.
