It is a very good point. I was thinking something similar. It is OK to decline working with Turki but there is no need to disrespect him. But, hey, what do we know. Tim is his own man and does what he wants.

He's got his own options, so I can't blame him for that. I've never heard him talk about getting lowball offers or anything of that nature. Maybe when he gets older, or suffer defeat.

I mean unlike others who have no choice but to grab whatever Turki offers. Far better than being inactive or being forced to sit around because fights are hard to come by.

Tim did a great job of being political with his answer. Now let me take the politics out. FUQ U TURKI BOY!! You are not the Messiah of boxing as some claim you are. You are not a ga-zillionaire that's using your own personal money to "make the best fight the best". Tim (like most other boxers) has a team of financial weathermen that can predict the forecast for their fighter. They crunch the numbers and can tell if it's going to be sunny or rainy. They have predicted that if they do business with the Turkster then they can expect a colossal monsoon followed by a slight touch of hurricane and ending with an earthquake. Turki has funny money because once the King of Saudi decides to shut down the boxing money then the fighters that are with Turki will be shyte out of luck!

It's not obvious that Tszyu disrespected him.

Tim didn't blow his chance, he said "no".

Alalshikh was very puerile with his churlish "I will not work with Tim Tszyu" comment, which came as a RESPONSE to Tim politely saying he wasn't interested.

Tszyu doesn’t want the beat down that Vergil Ortiz presents.. so he & his team are out to make any possible excuse they can possibly concoct

Why does Tim feel the need to burn non-existing bridges?

If Turkey prevents a title unification out of spite for a perceived (and mildest) insult, then shame on him and his turban, robes, Ray Bans, 17 Rolls Royces, s*l*a*v*e*s, concubines, and puffed-up ego. Wouldn't that put the lie to his "boxing savior" ego trip?
We don't NEED Turkey and his kind. We just like the somewhat better undercards.
                      Pfffft.
