There are certain fighters, who once they leave the game? They are never going to comeback 'Mike Tyson, Roy Jones Junior, Muhammad Ali, Prince Naseem Hamed'.

You sometimes hear boxing pundits, and the media describe certain fighters as 'Generational talents, or fighters that only appear once in a generation. People must understand that Mike Tyson was beyond a generational talent, he was a ability and style that really in my opinion is only going to appear once in a time frame of decades, century's or maybe never again. He was a comet just passing through time, and only people of that time are fortunate enough to witness the comet passing through their era'.

When are people going to get it? I mean, really get it? There was a chef called Marco Pierre White 'He was the first chef from the UK, to be awarded three Michelin stars. This is the highest accolade, any chef can achieve in their domain'.

Marco Pierre White once stated that he had live through the greatest era of gastronomy 'Which was in his opinion the late 70's and 80's. And he realized that this era was never coming back'. He made this statement while reflecting back on his career with nostalgia, and today's modern gastronomy'.

This phenomenon can also be documented in all areas of life? And especially in a sport such as boxing. There are fighters, who will never ever be duplicated again. This is due to a combination of factors, both their abilities and the time which they competed in.

Note: Once upon a time boxers used to fight under the 'London Prize Fighting rules 1838' which consisted of a potential unlimited number of rounds that could be fought during the fight.

During those fighting era's, fighters and people knew unequivocally who the victor of the fight was 'Because the only way a fighter could win and be declared, is if one opponent was unable ether get up off the deck and return to the centre scratch line of the ring.

Even when the 'Marquess Of Queensberry Rules 1867' were introduced into boxing, the most amount of rounds that a fight could last was 45 rounds 'Fighters would be fighting for a duration of over 2 hours potentially'.

All those fighters who fought under those rules and that competitive environment, only existed in those era's 'But boxing analyst may still see certain traits in modern fighters, and we call those fighters old school fighters. Great fighters such as Floyd Mayweather Junior, Bernard Hopkins, James Toney, and even Mike Tyson who as a fighter had old school traits in his approach to training and fighting'.

There has not been another Mike Tyson since his retirement, because 'Mike Tyson existed and was rising up in the sport at a time. When we still had people involved in the sport, who witnessed the era's of boxing when Jack Dempsey, Joe Louis, Rocky Marciano, Jersey Joe Walcott, Archie Moore, Floyd Patterson, Gene Tunney, Joe Frazier, George Foreman, Muhammad Ali and more were all fighting'.

There was still people involved in the sport, who witnessed the time in boxing 'When it was not uncommon, that a fighter could have 100's of fights in his career'.

Sugar Ray Robinson had 201 fights in total. Henry Armstrong had 183 fights, once upon a time? Armstrong fought 27 times in one year.

Mike Tyson appeared and was rising up in the sport 'During a time, when he was still fortunate to be taught by MEN who had lived through those times, Men who had lived and fought through two World Wars'.

In 1968, African American's were still being brutally persecuted 'They were still being lynched, and those that fought against this and along side them were also persecuted'.

Those were different times, and those times and factors created different men 'From all differing types cultures and backgrounds, to survive you had to have certain traits'.

And those traits are still expressed in certain men today, and in fighters 'Mike Tyson in my opinion, was a old school fighter. He had those traits, and he was coached and taught by men of that time such as Constantine "Cus" D'Amato. All of those factors, combined with his innate attitude and athletic ability created the fighter that became one of the greatest Heavyweight fighters of all-time'.

To conclude: Therefore it is a combination of environment such as the boxing coaches and mentors, culture of the time, innate ability and desire to fight. Which created Mike Tyson as a fighter. There have been many great offensive fighters since Mike Tyson's rise, peak and retirement. But they are not Mike Tyson, they are themselves.

And we can see certain boxing archetypes and styles, keep on appearing in the sport throughout the boxing era's. When we see fighters with those traits and fighting styles appear 'People within the sport compare them to past all-time great fighters. But we understand that they are not quite those fighters'.

Boxing will continue to produce great fighters, but people should not expect certain level's of fighters to appear frequently. Since Prince Naseem Hamed's retirement, there has been no fighter in and around his weight class that compares to him. Prince Naseem Hamed is one of the most talented fighter's from the UK, that has ever been produced. Naseem Hamed in terms of pure ability is miles better than Tyson Fury'.

Oleksandr Uysk met Prince Naseem Hamed, during the fight week of his fight against Daniel Dubois 'Uysk told the media, that as a amateur fighter, He used to practice Prince Naseem Hamed's boxing moves. Even when he was instructed not to by his coaches, Uysk continued to practice those moves along with many more of the amateur fighters from his team'.

The main point, I am trying to make? Is that a certain level of ability and fighter 'Is not going to appear frequently throughout time. In my opinion, true greatness and creativity is extremely rare'.

Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, Roy Jones Junior, Prince Naseem Hamed 'They are fighters of that level' etc.
