I heard old fighters say that champions (not email champions), always have to overcome some drawback. The other guy has power or speed, or a situation, like a broken jaw or damaged eye. Tim let a cut scalp stop his "reign of terror". But he has a good attitude? He's never been hungry and daddy makes sure he never goes hungry. There is a big difference between fighting for trophys and fighting for your life.

What about all the guys Timmy dragged to Australia. They had no heart? It took more courage to go there vs the home town hero, than Timmy trying to fight old One Time. I never seen a guy get so many endorsements for quitting at the sight of his own blood.

Let's not forget how the PBC hit him with the old switcheroo and forced him to fight Fundora. Same thing they did with Manny Spence Ugas.

Loyalty? Tim is a draw in Australia without a belt. PBC has a stable thats getting old and they need fresh blood to put on PPVs. Murazaliev has no name but he has a belt.... and he's the weakest light middleweight. Put them all together and everyone gets what they need.

In the end, Tim will go on to fight Fundora, and 2+ belts are guaranteed to stay on the other side of the street....at all cost. It's can't miss business by the PBC and it should work out for Tim too but loyalty isn't the motivation it's more like an unexpected bonus.

Tim and Bud already have a silent agreement. Lawnchair, I mean Fundora gets stripped if he fights Spence. It'll be Tim vs Bud w/3 bekts on the line.

Fundora has always been a spectacle to watch because of how tall and long he is for 154. But, let's not forget that he was the one who stepped in to serve as a replacement opponent for the then world champion; Tim. Fundora was also coming off a bad KO loss in his previous fight. Although he's tall and long for his weight, the odds were seemingly in Tim's favor. I'm sure him and team saw Fundora as a winnable fight and thus they accepted it. I like Tim and enjoy watching him fight, but let's not act like he accepted a fight on short notice against a guy that fans perceived as super risky.

If you're a fighter , you see every fight as winnable. Fundora was coming off of a loss but nobody considered him easy work , he's still got considerable physical advantages over just about everyone at 154. By virtue of his size alone Fundora is a risky fight , plus , he can fight. Losing to Mendoza didn't turn him into a scrub overnight. Nobody is lining up to fight the guy and he's got two belts. That ought to tell you how easy he is. What the fans think or don't think about it is less than meaningless.

I normally ****** fights for free, but not this time. I am planning on getting Amazon Prime specifically for this fight. Well, it's true I want to buy a few things on Amazon anyway, but I waited until this fight to jump on Prime lol. I've been critical of PBC at times in the past, but not this time. This is a good move, and I want to support it.

If Tim felt as though PBC hit him with the old switcheroo then he would have said so. But he didn't. Actually he feels the complete opposite. Sheesh!!

Now you're letting the dislike drift into the realm of delusion. Tszyu fought through the cut scalp , without being able to see when the vast majority of fighters would have stopped. In fact , tactically, he should have stopped with that huge disadvantage and retained his title. Going hungry , being poor , or not having a father doesn't make a person tough. Toughness comes from within you , you have it , or you don't.

Sure. I agree. But fighters also weigh the risk and Fundora coming off a KO loss and looking vulnerable surely had an influence in Tim's decision. I'm not going to take anything away from the fight because you're right, Fundora isn't an easy fight for anyone. But, the article made it look like Tim entered a fight where he didn't feel like he had an advantage. I'd like to see a rematch and hopefully Tim doesn't get cut again.
