Has Froch been 'hyped up' too much since beating Taylor?

Im just thinking that Froch has been hyped up a damn lot since beating Taylor, when he hasnt really proved much!

Its nothing against Froch it just seems he has turned up near the top of the SMW division for no genuine reason.

He lost at l east 8 rounds to Taylor, and he did pull through rhe last round and KO him, but even with a 10-8 for that round, if it went the distance he would of lost a UD.

Before that he beat Pascal who was basically a nobody and not world class at SMW standards.

So since he was entered into the Super6 he is one of the hot favourites to win.

Bearing in mind what he has actually acheived at SMW , it isnt much at all.

A washed up Taylor, losing 2 out of his last 3 to Pavlik, one being a KO. Only win from a muchly overrated Lacy.

Im not hating on Froch as its the fans/media that hype him up, but really, does he deserve this much 'hyping'??

Yes he has, Am a big fan of his and i picked him to KO taylor even won 2 million points on it but i do think people are hyping him up abit now, I remember when i and only a few poster on here were the one talking about him but now every brit wants to talk about him even though they use to hate him for calling out Calzaghe.

He didn't just call Calzaghe out, he ridiculed Calzaghe for fighting Hopkins and Roy. Yet, both of those fighters probably would have schooled froch at 175.

I don't think so. People are picking him because he's facing an unproven, yet talented, challenger.

Yes, real Froch fans know he is limited, but know enough of what he is capable of, if he used his boxing smarts.

I think the Dirrell fight is too hard to predict because of Andre's inexperience, but a couple things Froch brings to the ring that has to be admired are his heart and balls.

A lot of the brit fans seemed to get blinded by patriotism, although that counts for fans of all nationalities.

I saw the fight and came away with the conclusion that Froch is one tough cookie with a strong punch and average boxing skills. If Taylor didn't have as expected terrible stamina he would have easilly won that fight. Now Froch has Dirrell next and I believe he will stop him. Dirrell doesn't have the beard nor the punch I believe to hurt Froch. Froch will lose the early rounds but will hurt Dirrell with every shot he hits him with stopping him in the middle to late rounds.

He's not been hyped up enough in my opinion. Pascal and Taylor are both damn good fighters, and Froch beat one handily, and viciously ko'd the other. He was willing to travel to the U.S to fight on Taylors home turf, and sacrificed the support of British television, and a large chunk of money, to make the fight happen. So what if he has a poor defence, and weak footwork. Froch is a very exciting, throwback fighter, who loves to battle. To put it simply, I would rather watch Froch, than Mayweather or Hopkins. This is boxing, not tag. He is a credit to the sport and deserves all the praise and recognition that he has recieved, or is going to recieve. Win or lose on Sunday morning, he won't lose my respect.
