What Can Artur Do in the Rematch to Win Clearly

There is a reason why beterbiev lost 4 out the first 5 rounds....his foot work and hand speed did not match bivol...when he did manage to pin bivol it was because bivol slowed down a little .. it so in my opinion Artur who will be 6 months older and 40 years of age in the rematch will now only lose foot speed and slow down a little....you don't improve when your 40 it's that simple.
The ways bivol can improve are much more realistic...more speed and movement and throw more jabs and punches especially the last minute of each round
Bivol did not lose this fight and at best beterbiev got a draw....but if you score it how it should be scored bivol won that fight......fights should be scored with those 4 criterias,. effective aggression, defense, ring generalship, and clean punches.

open up sooner, he showed bivol a lot of respect. go to the body earlier. I get not going nuts the first few rounds but if he started sooner he could have got a KO.


There are small things, he was making adjustments during the fight. If you watch some of the fight breakdown videos. Like he was telegraphing his jab early on and then by the end he stopped. well he could start out from round 1 using some of his adjustmetns from the first fight. not telegraphing his jab.

also since bivol seemed to have a solution for the overhand right, he needs a counter solution and never really found it during the first fight

like it or not they are the 4 criterias a boxing fight is judged on.....effective aggression is not throwing more punches but not landing them, that's completely the opposite of what effective is...landing 26% of total punches landed compared to 50% landed is not doing it's job.
It's the same reason why hagler lost to sugar ray leonard, punches should not be scored when hitting air or not landing.

Beterbiev didn't know what to expect, so he was cautious early... Though he mostly have slow starts... Now that he felt the power he might force it more in the rematch... But only Artur knows how hard the fight was for his body... Bivol landed clean a lot of times...
