Beterbiev/Benavidez is likely pretty big in the USA now…as big as fights in the US can be these days at least…

Only a fool would argue with that assessment , there was no clear winner , certainly not by that margin....this is truly one fight that DOES deserve a rematch..

As much as I love and respect Roy Jones, Jr. I must vehemently disagree with him on this one.

There’s no way that this fight was even remotely close to being a Draw. Dmitry Bivol won this fight hands down.

At best it was at least an 8-4 victory for Bivol or at worst a 7-5 victory for Bivol.

Moreover,, those compubox numbers were a sham and the fix was in. There’s no way one can convince me that Artur out threw Dmitry.

He didn’t let his hands go enough. I don’t know. I think that perhaps Roy may be auditioning for another expert commentating job.

A rematch may cure this ill. It was so close and it has so much controversy that it will sell even better.

Show me where’s your proof? That was the major reason why I felt he lost the fight.

He just didn’t let his hands go enough in order to cancel out Bivol’s clean and accurate counter punching.

This fight was eerily similar to De La Hoya/Trinidad. Felix won the decision but lost the fight.

He was both out punched and out landed by Oscar.
Every judge is different. Most judges nowadays don’t like fighters who like to move and fight off the back foot.

I believe that it was Bivol’s movement is what caused him the fight. They tend to favor the aggressive fighter.

It doesn’t matter how ineffective the aggressor is or how accurate or clean the boxer fighting off the back foot is landing his punches.

If you think Bivol threw more punches than Beterbiev, then nothing will convince you otherwise.

As someone who was neutral in this fight and thought Bivol would win - I thought Beterbiev won on the night. I didn't score the fight but that's the overall impression I got. Bivol was struggling at times and Beterbiev was the guy pushing him back for most of the fight. Bivol didn't box as well as I expected and Beterbiev boxed better. I think it was a close win for the Beterbiev.

Very su****ious that Beterbiev (at 40) didn't tire though and looked stronger than Bivol (33) in the late rounds
