I think Bivol's team need to move on and start thinking about a rematch. I scored the fight for Bivol but we all need to accept the judges decision and move on. Bivol himself is all class and agrees that he could have boxed better. That is a good starting point that he can build on. Everything else is a waste of time and energy.

Every time someone makes the comment and even worse yet a boxing writer writes it, I want to smack the person in the head and say “hey dummy! There is no “swaying” in boxing!!” Rounds are scored round by round; each individually under its own merits. A judge shouldn’t be “swayed” in “later rounds” that would change the outcome of a fight! If a fighter, fighting a 12 round fight takes the first 7 then the other fighter comes on that’s a 7-5 fight! Even if he is brutally pummeled (short of a 10-8) it’s still 7-5! There isn’t “sway” to go back and change a couple 10-9s in earlier rounds that changes the outcome. I loathe the term “sway” in boxing.

Biv needs to box like a pro from here on out: win every minute of every round

Shift away from his amateur boxing mindset: up on points so disengage and chill. He done this ish in prior fights where he’s much better than his opponents. This don’t fly in pro boxing against the elite of the elite

Biv next fight will be the start of his prime

I am glad you made that post. Every time I read someone write "but he won the fight because he won the championship rounds" or "he was coming or strong and the other guy was running in the last two rounds" I cringe but never post anything. Just because someone won the last two rounds does not mean he won five of the previous ten rounds. Very simple maths but seems to escape so many people. Perhaps that is how they explain the lack of logic in their argument so they can substantiate their own point of view and feel good about their opinion.

reality is boxing has unofficial rules that are seldom brought up

how you finish the fight is more important than how you start.

Biv and his corner were naive and trusted the judges to play by the rules and score it round to round

I don’t think any would have been upset with a draw, but to give Beterbiev the fight totally is outta the question, his own dammm corner was scared as hell too! I give him the last 2 and maybe 3 earlier rounds but that’s it, I can’t make a case he won especially the way in which the judges except the one who scored it even. This another example of poor judgment

That's what I saw... Although Bivol landed well on the counter , he did seem to spend a lot of time running ...not a great look in such a close contest..

I watched it again last night. At first, I wasn't sure, but now I think Beterbiev won. Bivol looked so good when he was dominating that it left a lot of doubt, but the way he had to fight drained him as the rounds went by, and he slowed down a lot when he had to pace himself. It was Beterbiev's power and come forward movement that was too much for Bivol. Bivol admitted that even when Beterbiev hit his glove, that he got hurt from the impact of his own glove on his face, and his thumb got hurt as well. All those punches to Bivol's gloves, which would normally get discredited, were doing damage. Beterbiev's style is not as pretty as Bivol's, but he got the job done. I gave Betebiev at least 7 rounds in a close fight that was hard to score. Beterbiev's power is on a whole different level. Beterbiev seemed to walk through all of Bivol's punches.

Bivol is the only pro not have been KO'd or seriously hurt by Beterbiev for 12 rounds...and that speaks volumes of his skill set. It was an excellent fight, and I look forward to the rematch. These guys are the 2 best.

His team and his fans are b****** about it more than he is. He lost. He accepted the loss. Boxing needs to get over it and move on the right man won
