As with many elite level fights it was a close one, admittedly I didn't score the fight as i was many drinks in by then but got the general feeling beterbiev did enough by walking bivol down and constantly pressuring. Judges could have been better (but when can we not say that) and bivol could have won with different judges, but a competitive fight with narrow margins like this one surely can never be called a robbery

Well I have a problem to understand 116/112 score made by one od the jujdges. The rest is ok in my opinion, could go in both directions for 1 point.

Lmao in Montreal he uses a translator because they speak French and he doesn’t speak any French actually. I’ve had a conversation with him in English he understands it fine. He’s not confused he’s actually very intelligent the guy doesn’t even really like boxing. I really like him as a person I just don’t think he won this fight and by what he said and having spoken to him I can tell u he doesn’t either

For the rest, he threw 200 more punches for the same amount of connects, and he was the aggressor for the whole fight, and landed the heavier blows, so in a close fight, this should prevail. Judges got it right, which is not always the case in these situations.

Not the worst but still a low end robbery in a very high profile fight. I’ve watched the fight 3x now and the best I can find is a beterbiev draw. His corner obviously felt the same telling he needed a KO and going crazy in distress in his corner.

Not the worst but still a low end robbery in a very high profile fight. I’ve watched the fight 3x now and the best I can find is a beterbiev draw. His corner obviously felt the same telling he needed a KO and going crazy in distress in his corner.

Marc Ramsey answered this issue already. (See the interview after the fight). They knew it was a close fight and obviously wanted the KO to avoid any controversy. But hey, watch the fight again and ask yourself who would you have rather been. That also helps when judging a close fight.

It is what it is. Like I said it’s not the worst decision of all time I like beterbiev and I don’t really have a huge problem with him getting the nod I just feel like the cards were suspect.

Dude, the judges agreed on 10 of the 12 rounds. You're telling me the Chechens bought off all 3 judges? And you're also saying a no bull****, no non-sense guy like Ramsey is gonna lift up Beterbiev after the fight because he thinks he won a really close decision in a sport where you just never know? Well.. don't know what to say anymore. I'm a big fan of Bivol, but he just didn't do enough in the championship rounds cause.. he was gassed. He was almost ready to go in the eleventh, but when he saw the finish line in the 12th, he got some energy back.

The fact bivol was -150 favourite is what made the line suspect. If u understand betting you know that would’ve been a huge red flag indicator. Beterbiev awith 100% KO rate and a decorated resume should’ve been the clear favourite. This is what’s know as a betting trap. Bivol -150 was a trap. You are acting like the majority of people didn’t score the fight for Bivol. Claiming that “casuals” are what’s causing the “controversy” lol. Thats not the case. Most people thought Bivol won but because it was a close fight we can’t really complain too much because it WAS a very close fight. It really comes down to a matter of opinion. Also if bivol won there would be no controversy. Thats a fact
