Do you really think Salita is world class? Based on what fights against meaningful opposition?

Their fight was a savage robbery! The fight clearly should have been a no-contest. SAYING THAT! There is no need of a rematch! MAB is first of all a smaller fighter, secondly he always had problems with fast fighters like Khan!

Should he get a rematch he will get spanked, and everybody will forget about their first fight, and that is not what should happen! Boxing fans should talk about it and remind Khan that he was awarded with a win over a very big name in boxing! So he will have to prove that all the gifts and money and cherry-picked opponents were worth of it!

I would like to see how Khan attepmts to unify the division! He can beat Hatton, Diaz, Pauli, Holt, but the likes of Bradley, Maidana will most probably demolish him... Should i say something about Pac-man?

I`m neutral to him, but HATE the way he is promoted!

To be fair, anybody with 30+ wins and no defeats are not that bad. As Khan and Linares found out, it is very easy to lose against weak opposition, so having an unblemished 30+ record probably means you know your way around a ring. Plus he is a mandatory, so I think this is a decent fight for Khan at this stage of his career. Timothy Bradley, a much more established fighter than Khan is fighting Peterson (who has a record very similar to Salita's), so I don't think anybody can criticise Khan's choice of opponent for his first title defence.

If Khan can get past Salita without much trouble, I would like to see him fight Bradley, or Maidana. Bradley will probably suit Khan better because he isn't really a huge puncher. Maidana is the more interesting fight though, and will reveal a lot about Khan and his aspirations to get to the top. We pretty much know he has all the skills, heart, talent, and determination, to become a great world champion, but there are still question marks over his ability to beat genuine world class punchers...and these are the guy he will need to beat to become the best in his division.

I have a feeling that Maidana is the easier fight for Khan. Maidana doesn't have a great chin himself, and Khan certainly has enough power to put him down. In my opinion, Khan either boxes rings around Maidana stopping him around the 8th round, or Maidana stops Khan with a big right hand. Whatever happens, I'm sure it will be a great fight.
