I see a second fight going in the same way. Perhaps next time the judges will give it to Bivol. It's that kind of match.
if boxing is a business and fight 2 is also another 7-5 or 6-6, ruling it for Bivol is the "correct" decision

this would open the way up for a trilogy with them being 1-1

To be honest, before the fight I was expecting a rather clear decision win for Bivol. But Beterbiev managed to impress me once more.
strange thing is his career peak happened in his late 30s

this string of Smith Jr-Yarde-Smith-5 or 6 rounds off of Bivol is greater than the string that includes his best win Gvozdyk: Kalajdzic-Gvozdyk-Deines-Browne

Bivol has a huge edge in hand speed so use it. Beterbiev struggles to counter combos especially at range.

I'm not sure where Bivol's left hook off of a jab went. He had success with it early on. Latter into the fight his left hooks that were landing always came off of a right hand first
That is the winning combo against Beter. Right cross then the left hook over the top.

Bivol should have fought more aggressive in the championship rounds. He would've been given the nod .

It’s like you guys don’t understand boxing at times. Of course he was cautious because at any point if he tried to pounce on Bert he was well aware he could be ko’d with a shot fired back, hence he was always hesitant. He tried it once and got wobbled, after that he didn’t.

Nobody is winning a fire fight against Artur, Bivol didn’t want to risk that because he knew he’d more than likely be the one sent to the floor. Tactically it’s a very tough fight for bivol to win because if it goes to the judges again Arturs constant pressure style will more than likely be favoured again, especially in Saudi.

For all Bivols skills the only thing he lacks is that brutal power, he couldn’t get Bert to take a step back for nearly the whole fight. What can he really change? Not much.
