the exact language used is key

      I don’t think I’m a great boxer is a down attitude

Bet used to say Someday I will be good boxer. The words of a gracious winner

The reason Beterbiev is saying he is not a great boxer because he just shared the ring with a great boxer. So now he knows. We have never heard him say something like that.

He said the same thing after fighting Smith (his previous fight to Bivol). He said he's not perfect and that he's still learning and improving, and one day hopes to be a great fighter. This is not new talk from Beterbiev.

Subtle difference this time. He always talks about wanting to get better and improving, but this is the first time he said outright - I am not a great boxer. He also said

Dmitry is a world champion too. He has good skills, better than me, but today Allah chose me.”

Two great fighters. Two gentlemen. Very close fight. Let's see a rematch. Turki is the man.

If bivol only supposedly landed 5 more punches and threw much less. I'm not surprised beter got decision.

I had Bivol by close decision but big respect to both fighters for attitude, humility, and true appreciation of each other's skills and performance.
