Comments Thread For: Dmitry Bivol cautious of 'dangerous' Artur Beterbiev: 'You have to prepare not to get punched'

Dmitry Bivol doesn't believe the aging and oft-injured Artur Beterbiev has lost a step. Bivol (23-0, 12 KOs) will finally find out Saturday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia when he faces Beterbiev (20-0, 20 KOs) for the undisputed light heavyweight title.

    As predicted, he will run.

I like Bivol. But that is far easier said than done. Bivol gets KOd like all the rest.

You can dodge everything worth mentioning for 7 rounds.... Then the magic happens and you're not yourself anymore, a part of you just quit... and this is the beginning of the end for you... This is Beterbiev in a nutshell

Damn I adore both these guys. It's great that they're finally fighting, and we'll get a classy undisputed LHW champ, but at the same time I'm selfishly disappointed that one of them has to lose.

It's refreshing to watch a fight and not have to think "Ugh, this fucking guy. Hope he gets embarrassed and never shows his face in a ring again", which is the case for most of these try-hard 'characters' who make up the headlines.

              Bivol never runs.

He fights, he is a great counterpuncher.

If I was Bivol I would only sign for a 168 fight ... The complete and outrageous domination of the first fight should grant him that... Of course the probable same outcome would expose Ginger, so 100% it won't happen...

Both guys have the career on the line in that fight.

The winner can fight Benavidez at 175 or Opetaia at cruiserweight. The loser can only fight no-hopers at 175.

I have heard this same story many times. Nothing to do with weights for the fight. Canelo did not want to fight Bivol again at any weight and get embarassed again. I believe Bivol and do not believe Canelo's excuses, stories on this subject. How can Canelo go and claim "I am the best" if he is spanked by the same guy twice?
