Right out of the gate Bivol has a good game plan, which means he has a good chance of success. Before Bivol, the only guy I thought had a good chance against Beterbiev was Gvozdyk and in the fight he was doing well and was ahead on the score cards until Beterbiev hurt him in the last couple of rounds and took him out. I recently read an interview on another site where Gvozdyk said

"Oleksandr Gvozdyk says it would be a good idea for Dmitry Bivol not to exchange punches with Artur Beterbiev on Saturday. He suggests that Bivol box and move the entire fight because Beterbiev (20-0, 20 KOs) is too powerful and busy with his punches to get in a back-and-forth type of battle."

His mistake was he went after Beterbiev thinking he could hurt him and take him out like he did against Superman. Bivol is not so foolish which means he has a very good chance of boxing for 12 rounds and earning a UD. Of course, easier said then done, but if anybody can do it, Bivol is the man.

I rewatched Beterbiev - Gvozdyk a few days ago.

Gvozdyk has some simillar moves with Bivol, but Bivol is much faster. Gvozdyk is slower, with cemented feet.

ginger would have a much better shot at bivol at 168 tho but he still didnt want to take the chance with his belts on the line so not confident at all about it i dont think

the guy claims to be the king and the best in the world, hes good alrite but come on u cant make these outlandish claims based on his fights & how he ducked the fight everyone wanted to see v benny & he still gets great ppv numbers, unreal fans he has got i must say

I rewatched that fight too recently. I agree about Gvozdyk's feet, but I suspect that is by design because he was a puncher who needed to plant his feet to be able to really sit on his punches. Anyway, Bivol is faster and will not be so silly to go after Arthur.

Yes I agree. I still have Beterbiev in this fight, but Bivol will think on his feet and will not fight scared. Silly for anyone to even hint at it. Beterbiev either hurts him and throws Bivol off his game, or by the mid rounds Bivol will have a nice lead and force Beterbiev to chase him. What a chess match. I am excited.

Biv is a technician who can fight from all ranges and do it all.

But his pure boxing is the best. Biv the pure boxer is significantly better than Biv the counterpuncher. Doesn't quite have the timing and reflexes to sharpshoot.

Biv's volume compensates for the lack of sharpshooting and power

I think Biv 9-3 Bet and want Bet up at cruiserweight anyways after this fight.

Bet will have done everything there is to do at 175 after facing Biv

At 200 Bet has Zurdo Jai and potentially Usyk

A winning Biv staying at 175 makes sense as he's a small LHW

Bet made it clear in an interview that he wants 200 after this match

The emotional Ukrainian Gvozdyk would get angry and insta trade after getting hit with Russian Artillery from Chechen Beterbiev

these exchanges is where Bet would follow up on a landed artillery shell with powerful counters that HURT Gvozdyk

Gvozdyk has an okay pendulum bounce, but Biv has MASTERED the Soviet Step that he uses with his Eastern Long Guard and parries

Eastern Long Guard obstructs the opponent's offense

Russia is the center of EurAsia. Gvo is a pure euro. The top Russian boxers are mixed Koreans: Tszyu, Golovkin, Biv

Biv actually lands his jabs and can go after Bet in spurts

What he says about this fight has me very concerned. He is preparing to not get punched. He is preparing to go the distance. My very unfortunate official prediction at this point is that he wins on the scorecards after robbing us of excitement by taking away all vulnerabilities aside from the scorecards. If that happens, I will never forgive him because this is the most interesting matchup in recent memory

That would be Bet's fault if he can't cutoff the ring

it's the puncher's job to cutoff the boxer

Funny. A few weeks ago I said Bivol would run and make it a ****ty fight. I was criticized by many and people even started predicting a Bivol KO. LOL.

Bivol has one shot. Move all fight and hope that he can land enough to beat Biev on points. Unfortunately this means the judges will score heavy on aggression and on who is trying to make it a fight.

Biev is a damn good boxer with sick power. He will hit Bivol and likely stop him. Gvozdyk was not "slower", he was a far bigger puncher then Bivol and he was probably a better boxer to be honest. The Canelo fans have turned Bivol into an all timer because he outboxed an overrated and undersized Canelo.

Bivol does not have the power to even keep Artur away. If Bivol runs he may win a boring UD, but even then he can lose due to not making it a fight.

The fact that Bivol is already showing fear makes me think this could be a quicker Biev KO than I thought. Possibly inside 5.
