Tyson changed his approach in the second Wilder fight and went after Wilder instead of boxing him. He did this because after he was dropped in the first fight, he started fighting for his life and he noticed that Wilder didn't like it and backed off. So he changed his approach for the second fight from the start and it worked. No doubt he will come into the second Usyk fight with the same mind set and start fighting Usyk instead of boxing him.

A few days ago I read an article on another site where Crawford was saying exactly the same thing but because he is great friends with Usyk he did not wish to disrespect him so he did not want to predict a Fury win. The trouble with Usyk is he can take a good shot and he throws a huge volume of punches without stopping for 12 rounds. He has the best gas tank of any heavyweight (or cruiser-weight). If you do not take him out and you spend your pennies, you are toast in later rounds as he will over run you.

Maybe Fury's best chance is to attack Usyk's body viciously. I know he did some of that in the first fight, but he needs to do more - probably an all out attack for 6 rounds or so. If Usyk has a weakness, this is it. He was dropped by a body shot by Beterbiev and Dubois and Bakole claims he stopped him with a body shot in sparring. So if I was in Fury's corner, this is what I would recommend. Of course, easier said than done.

By the way, I watched Dubois fight several times and I understand why him and his coach are upset with the referee in the Usyk fight. I have watched that body shot again and again and if I was the referee I would rule it a knock down or a knock out if Usyk did not get up. Just my two cents worth.

He already attempted that approach against Usyk and got himself nailed by several left crosses in return.

One of those crosses nearly got himself TKO. He is not a twelve round fighter anymore. When Fury fights on the outside he becomes very vulnerable.

He no longer has the legs or stamina to circle the ring for twelve rounds without fatiguing. It also nearly cost him the first Wilder fight when he was dropped in that twelfth round.

That’s insecurity speaking, he’s trying to convince himself and once he gets pieced up and his legs are gone by round 4 you’ll see him try to revert to jab and overhand. Tyson cannot move the way he used to and it makes his head now much more stationary. Similar to AJ, time the head moving back to center time and time again.

I agree. The last time he boxed really effectively for 12 rounds was probably as far back as his fight with Wlad. He is no longer the same fighter and does not have that incredible stamina. Usyk's gas tank is much better and if they fight for 12 rounds, Usyk will always have the advantage in the last 4 rounds.

I am not a Fury lover, But I think he can absolutely win this fight. He has shown us that he can learn and adapt and he is the much bigger man. He tried a few different strategies in the last fight (As Syed of course from the survival strategy) and I imagine he has been planning (even though he would deny it). I do not like rematches but I like this one.

Yes, indeed! I couldn’t have agreed more! One could even detect in the first Wilder fight that he was no longer same fighter who defeated Klitschko.

His legs were starting to get tired by the 10th round. Once that happened he became vulnerable to Wilder’s power because he became a stationary target.

From that point on; Deontay Wilder buzzed him with that huge right hand of his in that twelfth by dropping him to the canvass. while nearly decapitating him in the process.

The bold in a nutshell is why we are even speaking of fury today. The dude had legs and size the rest of his skillset is beyond trash. A 6’ 2” Tyson fury wouldn’t have ever made it this far.

Interestingly enough it’s at a distance that Usyk performed so well. When they were nearer Fury was causing Usyk more damage.

It’s ok Dubois stops Usyk (or Fury) when he fights them next

I am not so sure about that. Apart from that one punch Daniel was really struggling with Usyk's style and the sheer volume of punches he was landing on Daniel. You could argue that he did not win a single round, but at the same time that he could have won by a KO.
