I want to see Janibek vs Sheeraz.

I think that’s the sort of fight to generate some much needed buzz in the Middleweight division.

Might as well unless they finally want to make the Adames fight.

Adames is affiliated with PBC right? He should unify with Lara. Surely that’s a very make-able fight.

He is the next mandatory for Janibek and Adames already. So we're probably getting Sheeraz vs. one of them in the next 12 months. At least I hope so. Only reason why we wouldn't is if everyone avoids him. Lara is probably the most vulnerable so Lara vs. Sheeraz could happen too, but he's not the mandatory for that belt, Shane Mosley Jr. is.

Lara hasn't fought anybody with a pulse since Castano five and a half years ago. If he were interested in the Adames fight I figure it would've happened by now. He wants to fight guys like Danny G two weight classes up from the one where he should've retired, Canelo's crappy brother, Cornflake, Spike O'Sullivan, and Zerafa.

I really want Lara out of the picture, so I pray he fights Adames or Janibek

              Yeah, agreed

The middleweight division is lacking at the moment. I don't think any of them look particularly great.

Sheeraz looks good but his opposition hasn't exactly been great. Lara is ancient. Janibek is pretty decent but nothing special, same with Adames.

I'd fancy an ancient retired GGG to have a good chance with these lot.i was watching the Janibek fight earlier and thinking how easily GGG in his prime would have pulverised both in the same night.

In all seriousness, it's pretty weak and lacking any excitement. I reckon Crawford or even Madrimov could go up to 160 and collect belts.

As for Sheeraz, even if he never turned out to be a truly top level fighter, there might never be an easier time to collect some middleweight belts in terms of quality of opposition in the division.

Was having a similar conversation with my mate yesterday. We were saying we’d like to see Sheeraz tested before putting him in with Janibek but looking at the landscape of the division, I don’t think there’s anyone outside the champions who could provide a decent test. Eubank Jr is about the only guy we could think of.

I’m hoping Frank and Bob get this fight made on one of the Saudi backed cards.

If the champs fought each other or one of them fought Sheeraz it would produce entertaining fights, but yes right now the division is pretty dead.

After watching the Janibek - Russian, Kiwi fight, I was thinking exactly the same thing. I think Golovkin would have demolished both those fighters. Janibek is too low output and has a slow controlled pace AND his inside fighting isn't very good. I think GGG would destroy him. Well, prime GGG ..., and maybe even old GGG.
