Mikhailovich's bold attitude or Alimkhanuly's calmness made this match especially attractive.

Man was adopted and raised in Australia. He got that Aussie swag. Gotta respect it. He's a good fighter, but he's gonna hafta fight as good as he talks if he wants to pull off the upset here. Don't think he's gonna win, but it ain't gonna be an easy fight for Alimkhanuly IMO. Should be a good scrap.

Round 6 now - Janibek in control but made a huge mistake at the end of Round 2 when he had Mikhailo out on his feet. Should have put him away but walked away, circled and admired his work. Literally let him off the hook.
Mikahilo tough as nails but holds too much. Ref should take points.

Janibek wants to be the best middleweight in the world?
Now is when he needs to go into the next gear and get this guy out of there.
It's a fun scrap but for the wrong reasons. After 6, Mikhailovich has weathered the storm and keeps Janibek on the back foot.
            Hagler would destroy this guy.
Actually, Hagler would destroy both guys.

              After 7, it's official.
Janibek doesn't have the killer instinct.
              Be a finisher.

Perfect stoppage by the ref after two sharp left hooks had Mikhailo fall back into the ropes in Round 9.
Janibek was flirting with his Schmucktard FAFO moment.
Next time, press your advantage and get your guy out of there.
Adames and Lara won't let you get away with it.

Unfortunately he didn't have the Soviet Step of a Russian to go with his mouth of an Anglo Western White

was closer to an Anglo Brawler than a Kovalev

I stand corrected. Class was in session immediately and Alimkhanuly just played with his food till he got tired and got him outta there. Plus, Alimkhanuly's size didn't make things any better. Can see why dude struggled to make weight. Can be a SMW easy. But he's still too high-risk low-reward. Gonna be tough for him to get big fights with so little name value.
