Gervonta could F around & get old before the biggest fights like Shakur Teofimo & others. There are good lightweights out there & 140 too.

Fuuc#king bullsh#t. The top guys in a division should be forced to box each other. It should be mandatory. Enough of the business side, behind the scenes bs. Enough is enough. It’s the same thing everytime. Do what’s good for the sport. Just give the fans what they want.
Another PPV I won’t be buying.Comment

I can't imagine there's anyone posting on these pages (or a true boxing fan anywhere, for that matter) who doesn't feel the same way.

They both would've gotten flack either way, but if given the alternate be pulling Roach up a division, I'd say even the likes of a DLS would've been better in hindsight.
No, doesn't change the fact that it would still be a letdown but the point being even DLS is a better opponent than Roach.Comment

Attempting to play devil's advocate, but I am having real trouble trying to think of a way to praise this opponent even using the fangirl glasses.
Roach is...umm...a current beltholder (from the division below) with double digit KOs (10 in 25 wins) that has multiple world title match (he's 2-1 having lost to Herring)?
...I guess he's still 29 so in his physical prime is a good point?Comment
