I’m a cinemaphile. I watch everything — from art house and foreign films, to Hollywood blockbusters and popcorn flicks. I thought The Fighter was a very good movie (7/10), but wasn’t quite as good as some make it out to be. It’s possible my high expectations led me to be slightly underwhelmed. In all fairness it’s tough to make a truly great boxing-themed movie at this point, something to rival classics like Raging Bull and the original Rocky.
