Excellent, it's great that the Sheik wants this unification fight. One little fly in the ointment is just after the press conference mentioned, is the IBF have mandated the winner of Opetaia-Massey is to face the IBF number one contender within 90 days. Jai has indicated he wants to be on the Usyk-Fury II undercard, so perhaps the Sheik can throw some money at this Huseyin Cinkara who the IBF mandatory contender for Jai's title. Interesting times ahead for the Cruiserweight division, provided the other champions don't lose their pens to sign to face Opetaia.

I was getting excited by the prospect of unification until I read the post above. IBF strikes again.

not only ibf. wba mandatory for a long time is dorticos. instead of 3 belt unification, it could easily be 1 belt fight because of s t u p i d random matchmaking and inactivity.

I think CBS v Ramirez is a real 50/50 because, TBBH, neither is very good. I hope CBS wins because he comes over as a decent guy whereas Ramirez comes over as a jerk who has messed so many people around with weight issues. Opetaia is going to ice the winner, whether its the good or the bad guy. He is on a whole different level.

            What makes Jai so good?

I’ve glossed over he swings kind of wild and has had a broken jaw

I think Jai is a solid fighter, decent power and a fan-friendly style. But I share your view: he strikes me as slightly overrated. Didn’t look that amazing in the Breidis rematch but maybe that’s was just a style thing.
