Crawford vs Fundora or Canelo vs Crawford

Fundora vs Crawford? Simple: Fundora might deserve that or may be at least fair considering our lack of more fair competition. Canelo’s answer to his only Crawford question on recent interview was, “no comment”. I understand that given today’s top dollars for top dogs that milk the system vs entertain their audience. With lack of competition, ie less fighters and with such big bucks on the top it’s understandable. ALBEIT we certainly wish to have Canelo take that risk of loosing to Crawford who’s not the A-side but would be in a win-win deal. But it ain’t gonna happen. MAYBE. POSSIBLY after both are spent as was the Mayweather Pacquiao dud.

I want to see Crawford vs Fundora. I think Crawford's goal should be to become lineal at 154, then undisputed at 154.

If he becomes lineal at 154 he'll be just the third four-division lineal champion in men's boxing history, following Mayweather and Pacquiao,
If he becomes undisputed at 154 he'll be the first man in the 3 or 4 belt era to become a three-division undisputed champion.

If he can accomplish that and still has something in the tank, then consider a fight at 160. Jumping straight to 168 to fight Canelo after one fight at 154 is probably not a good idea. I wouldn't necessarily blame him for cashing out, but I think cleaning out 154 would really elevate his legacy.

Crawford DID express interest in the Fundora vs Tzsyu winner and in fact enforced his status of mandatory challenger to the WBO light-middleweight title held by Tim Tszyu.

Only way this Fundora/Crawford fight has the possibility of happening is if Canelo ignores Crawford's callouts till after mid part of 2026 at least. Let public pressure gets dumped on him for his inactivity. He's been using Canelo's name to avoid these top fights in his own division. And he's getting a pass for it.

Bud vs Fundora will be more competitive, in my opinion.

I would prefer Fondura myself. More meaningful for the division.
