So I don't see this fight not happening soon. Benavidez wins this fight, in my opinion.
That is if Morrell displays the same low output like he did in his last fight.
Problem is Kalajdzic is a pretty effective counter puncher and I think Morrell knew that. Benavidez will bring volume which I think Morrell is more accustomed to dealing with.

But the fight has been debunked by Benavidez, and so we wait...

I can give you a couple of them, but I don't know if there was money in it. Fundora vs tim, Ramirez vs espinoza.

the ramirez fight was for the wbo belt. Fundora vs tim, meh not really, Fundora was coming off a KO loss. Its super rare for 2 undefeated top guys fighting just for the sake of fighting.

I'm referring to two quality in their prime fighters like the one I mentioned, even though Fundora has lost the fight before he is a good fighter, he just hot caught

No my point was when do 2 top fighters in their prime fight with nothing on the line, no belt, no big ppv. Basically fight for fun.

Almost never. Don't remember the last time, although I have a thought rattling my brain, I'll let you know if I remember but I think is going to be ancient history.

Thats why I think its too soon. Its a very rare case of needing some marination. If they can both get belts and some momentum at 175 it could be a mega fight in a year. If they fight in December its just fighting for the sake of it.

While I agreed with you, the victor would get a lot of props while the loser will still be young and with a lot of time to regroup.

I am not sure Benavidez would get many props for beating a guy with 11 fights coming off looking mediocre in his previous fight. They would say Morrell was not ready. Your a morrell fan you still think he's ready for Benavidez after his last fight?
