  • Comments Thread For: BoxingScene's Midweek Mailbag: Your Anthony Joshua-Daniel Dubois post-fight thoughts (and ours)

In this week's mailbag, we tackle your thoughts on Daniel Dubois' demolition of Anthony Joshua, including how much praise Joshua does or doesn't deserve, who Dubois should face next, and the idea of a rematch between Dubois and Joshua. We also return to a discussion about Canelo Alvarez's recent run of foes, especially when contrasted with what Naoya Inoue has done recently.

Anyone who thinks that AJ is no warrior is a gross hater. Any man that steps into a ring against huge men at the top of a sport where you are getting punched in the face time and time again is a warrior. Period. Add to that the fact that he kept fighting over and over as he was getting rocked and battling consciousness and you have just that - a warrior.
I am not an AJ fan really, but give discipline its due.

This is a good column and agree with the responses. Especially the Inoue-Canelo answer.

Ddd to fight zhang, otherwise it's clear people waiting for Zhang to be 44 years of age.
Josh don't deserve rematch immediately. But people would like to see rematch down line

Dubois v Aj, I'm just happy it's happened & especially that way for boxing. Aj was carried for far to long holding belts hostage with clauses stagnating the division.
No sooner after Wilder & Aj get removed from the picture undesputed gets made, albeit with the big sasquatch ****ing us about.
Inoue there is no question he's number 1. He's destroyed the danger men along with the cans in multiple divisions & most importantly stays active. If your active like yesteryear fighters you fight the cans to stay sharp. Ali boxed many cans in between legacy fights because he was busy. Meanwhile Canelo, 2 cherries a year.

Another thing he didn't mention that Canelo fans won't admit is that despite claiming duck, the chance of Inoue fighting MJ within the next year is very high, while the chance of Canelo fighting Benavidez was zero the last four years, and close to zero next year too.
