People were trying to put him on the P4P list at one point. The hyperbole surrounding these guys was off the charts. This era just wasn't very deep. Holmes beat guys like Ken Norton and Earnie Shavers. Give me Mike Weaver and Gerry Cooney over freaking Deontay Wilder and AJ.
Well put and done in a record number of words................

Usyk was smart. He took that body shot and felt it, so he went down to buy some time. But it was not a knockout blow, if you ask me.

Still, Usyk was not a sporstman with that behavior, I'll grant you this.

It all went wrong for AJ when after knocking everyone out he needed the refs help to job Parker for his belt in 2018.

A fight where Joshua ran and couldn't put a dent in Parker then ducked every contender of note afterwards until a cherry pick gone wrong vs Ruiz.

Karma is a bïtch and he/she/they just woke up and cöckslapped AJ right across his chinny chin chin.

Parker was on some bad karma **** too until he ditched the dodgy as fück Kevin Barry who diddled David Tua for millions.

Pasifikan juju is real and un****withable...BOOYAA!!!

They're story hasn't finished yet & Aj isn't even the 2nd best heavyweight in england.
Aj looses to any of the top contenders on his current record of 6-4 in his last 10.
If he retires now he has a shot for what he somehow achieved outside of the ring, not in it.
I mostly agree but don't blame Wilder. AJ asked for $50 million and Wilder & Team found a way to get it. Then hearn found multiple ways to say no without ever really trying to get it. Any other fighters in history would have been on the trail of that $50 million until it happened or not. Don't believe it? Offer any of these HW's $50 million and watch what happens. PS - I don't blame AJ, I definitely blame hearnia.

Now mind you, I am NOT SAYING anyone in this group is anywhere as good as Holmes, although I think both Fury and Usyk would have been fun challenges for him. No, I am saying everyone else in his title run were barely "B" level and this group of HW is better top to bottom..
Hmmnn.... Better than: Norton, Shavers 2x's, Cooney, Bonecrusher Smith 2x's, Mike Weaver 2x's, Corrie Sanders, Tim Witherspoon, James Tillis, Carl the Truth Williams, Michael and Leon Spinks (both Olympic Gold winners), Trevor Berbick, Renaldo Snipes, Gerry Coetzee, David Bey, Oliver McCall (yeah, he fought him at 41), signed to fight Foreman but the promoter defaulted on the money after the initial deposits. As an old man fought McCall, Mike Tyson, Holyfield, Ray Mercer, Butterbean, and more.

A lot of legit champs and/or guys who defeated legit champs in that group. Nah man, not better than that era ...

That going down and the time called to recover ... should have been a KO though. Smart by Usyk though, this is true. Poor refereeing.

Once Klitschko checked AJ's chin, Hearn made sure he didn't fight anybody who'd have a real chance of beating him until he absolutely had to.

Everything the English muffins accused Wilder of, applied to Joshua.

What happened to ol BANG3M & Robbie Barrett by the way.

                    Have they recovered

As a casual, I watched highlights of the Klitschko fight immediately after the parker fight, because the performance of: 1. The bs ring walk, and 2. The referee, made me seriously question the legitimacy of the guy. I couldn't help thinking that Vlad was absolutely nowhere near close enough to redlining to simply not press any advantage and key himself get knocked out like that. Less rousing than absolute garbage imho
