You know, I still don't believe in Dubois. Don't get me wrong, what he did to Joshua and Hrgovic was outstanding and really elevated him but I can't shake his weak mind when things get tough and getting dropped multiple times by a featherfisted cruiserweight.

I think when push comes to shove he will crumble again. I could see someone like Kabayel putting him through so much pain he takes a knee and waits out the count. I can also see Parker frustrating and overwhelming him in a similar way to Usyk and he gets beaten down.

We'll see what happens next. He has continued to prove us wrong and has shown great ability so I will absolutely get behind him, but for now it'll be hard to not think about his shakiness from just one year ago.

And it diminished their legacies by a lot.
So lets say AJ had fought Wilder when it was big, made 100 million and one gets KO'd. Let's say it was AJ got KO'd. He might then have KOd Hrgvyck his next fight. Then he'd be all the way back in the picture. Thats still getting the big payday and still being relevant instead of no big payday but several smaller ones instead. Or maybe he'd still fight Fury since there would be a better chace of that now. Another giant bag.
Wilder get's KO'd by AJ, theres a great chance the Wilder vs Fury fights still get made. But then Fury wouldve had to fight AJ first. If Fury wins or loses to AJ, he's got Wilder next and winner gets AJ for another huge payday. Dont forget the huge rematch after that.
Also, the economy has changed since then, there wouldnt be any 100 million now even if they stayed undefeated and fought tomorrow.
Scared fools. The legacy of today's boxing.

Oh and cong**** to Dubois, he's succeeding by taking risks without the real push behind him.
He's not my favorite HW but he's growing on me.

And I can't help but point out that in 2015, when these guys could've fought, my top guy at that time is Luis Ortiz.
      Good post.

Dubois HAS to learn how to ensure that shots like what Hrgo landed on him miss. I believe that is his Achilles heel. If he did that and learned a shtick for his persona, he could be the superstar. He is quiet - so maybe he wears short black shorts, a towel on his head, and walks in with a wicked evil look on his face?

I still don't buy the Joyce fight criticisms. His eye was fooked. He boxed well and kept on taking that ramrod jab with a damaged eye until he couldn't any more.

I never understood the Usyk knee though. He was the puncher in a title fight. Surely you keep trying to land that punch?

I can handle Asholes and bullies and racists and racism for days on this site because I want to hear opinions, I won't get outraged like todays gen. On this Im consistant. But not letting people express it infuriates me so much more! To a millionth degree. I feel like dumping this boxing site now.
Just use special characters in lieu of the normal ones, and everything will be alright.

The Canel v Berlanga sticky is still up. I don't think there's a "they" behind this forum anymore. Maybe a company bought it, but it looks to be some intern's very part-time project now.

The whoever set It and forgot it. Auto filtering. No stickies (except the one i mentioned, for weeks). Weird new way of pushing posts down the list.

I don't mind some filtering if, instead of filtering innocuous words, they'd filter out some of the kids here with no class, talking all kinds of gross and ****** stuff that I don't want to read.

Add to that the constant push for more articles on female boxing.

This place is weird now. It's like I still want to talk boxing, and this is the only place to go, but it's becoming more of a conflict to show up here and participate.

Let's not get carried away by the excitement.

In Joshua, Dubois duly destroyed the chinless shell of an over-anxious, self-doubting mass of muscle. Before that, he struggled to put out an obese Jarrell Miller, and took eight rounds - and several hard shots in the process - to stop eternally overrated Hrgovic.

DDD should take the AJ rematch pronto - he will probably end it inside three this time, if that fight ever happens. But I predict a short trip at the top for him, especially if he rematches Usyk.

He felt he had won the fight with that body shot, and after they didn't give him the KO he just quit mentally.

Dubois looked the same against Joshua as anyone else but i like that he has started going forward in every fight now. I've always said he's a monster (physically) and this is really playing to his strengths. Also I thought against AJ he showed he has a better chin than many of us thought.

It's a shame he can't get another fight in first and do an AJ rematch in the future. (surely AJ needs more time to recover anyway)

Yo idk what the writer’s complaining about: that there’s been no singular dominant HW force? Or at least not the one he expected/wanted?

GOOD! Everyone should be beating each other

i get that it’s not an elite era but you can’t complain about klitschko dominance on one hand then be a bit aggrieved that something similar hasn’t happened with a western fighter being the chosen one
