Grappling works great in a CONTROLLED 1 v 1 environment where you know there are no weapons and nobody is gonna come out of nowhere and attack you while you're grabbing someone else. Its needlessly risky for the streets and should only be used when you have to, which usually means you ****ed up at boxing range.
Agreed 100%, if it is a melee with a few people, you're in trouble on the ground.

Depends how smart people are and how trained they are. If i met a boxer id taken him down and pound him.
If I met a wrestler id control distance & id kick or knee him coming in.

Larned how to properly kick with Karate, but it was with Boxing that I learned to properly throw/set a punch while being defensively responsible at same time. Last time I lost a street fight I was 13 yo. So far cant complain.
