It looked to me like Joshua wanted to ease into the fight and he couldn't snap out of that mentality. I believe he felt he could keep Dubois behind the jab and win a quiet opening round 10-9, thinking Dubois will be respectful of his power and a bit cautious initially after he took 100 right hands in the first 2 rounds vs Hrgovic, but Dubois brought the heat instantly and it changed everything. Once you have a mindset, it's hard to get out of it quickly.
I think Joshua planned to pick Dubois off bit by bit, until the opportunity to take out a weakened Dubois presented itself, but Dubois had his own ideas and just went about his job of absolute destruction. He's faster than he looks as well and the strength of the man is there for all to see. He's getting better and better. Three performances in a row tell us that, and i watched his shot on Usyk again last night and Usyk is one very lucky man. It was a legal blow. Cash in - His Excellency
