AJ is the better boxer he just lost the war, Dubois is wide elbows to wide and very green technique but has pop and physically strong. That’s it! nonsense. dubois did everything better and at this stage of their careers, he does it all better. better jab, more aggressive, not scared to let his hands go, better chin, faster combos, what else? both have relatively zero head movement. how is aj the better boxer? what boxing? he stands there and gets hit, he cant clinch, he cant fight on the back foot and use his range. hes a big stiff idiot

He doesnt seem like the type of guy to stick around for diminishing returns imo but who knows. Personally I think 2025 is his last year fighting.

Say what you will about AJ (or Fury, Wilder, Usyk, or the HW era in general) but the commercial viability of the division is going to ****ing nosedive in the next few years. All of the big names are old and will either retire or age out into irrelevance soon, and there arent any names on the horizon that could feasibly replace that star power to a comparable level to what they brought. We will probably be looking at late 00s levels of commercial interest, except there wont be anyone as well known as Wlad around.

Not saying this was a particularly great era in terms of talent, but you have to appreciate that mid 2010s - now HW boxing was more alive in the public consciousness than it had been since the 90s. I'll miss that.
