We can get AJ v Wilder now. Eddy marinated it into a geezer war extravaganza.

Eddie Hearn said that Boxercise Ben has turned Anthony Joshua into the best heavyweight in the world. Well, a 5 round pasting from DDD suggests that you better stick to boxercise, Ben. Cash in - His Excellencychampion4ever likes this.

To me, it seems all about his head. He never used his head enough to learn how to fight tall or how to fight anywhere other than straight in front of him and then his head told him to go for the kill at the end. It was not time to go for the kill because Dubois' chin is incredible!
Bring on who is next for Daniel!!!!SSDnv

AJ was out of the fight after he got cracked by that first right hand. He had the same look on his face as when Andy Ruiz knocked him down. AJ didn't move his head, fought tall and was a sitting duck for DuBois's jab and right hand. AJ tried to hold on to clear the cobwebs out of his head and get back on track but he had no answer for those jabs and right hand over the top. AJ wanted to fight at a measured pace and pick up as time went by, but DuBois took it right to him from the beginning and never stopped trying to knock out AJ.
AJ's handlers have to decide what to do with him next. Invest in a guy that beats guys that don't fight back much and crumples when the fight is taken to him. AJ is a good B level fighter especially if he is matched well. Fury beats him. I would like to see AJ fight Wilder since they are both coming off of losses.
AJ is a stiff fighter who doesn't move well, fights tall, doesn't move his head much and is more of a stiff puncher rather than a fluid boxer. He is more hype than skill.

That was almost like white collar fighting. What a amatuer fight. AJ deserved that for keeping his hands down and chin up all night! Dubois is easy pickings for Usyk. Hell i think Tyson fury might be able to beat him. Dubois is so easy to hit but this fight was always going to be who ever lands first and Dubois did and AJ never recovered.

Never 100% bought the AJ comeback. Felt he was the rightful favorite in this fight, but wondered if Dubois really had found new fire. This answered that big time. Dubois is a much more confident figher and I'd put him at even odds against Fury and in an Usyk rematch. After he quit against Usyk he did some real soul searching, that fight is the perfect example of a loss being good for a fighter. It changed him for the better.
As for AJ, he is totally washed now. I could see a battle for the best loser against Wilder for both of them to make a big paycheck. But IMO he is done as a serious contender. He looked shot and could not move and was caught by eveverything, when he did move back he was moving straight back. Defense just terrible and his power is all he has left. Anyone who can crack is going to stop him now.
Salute to AJ for the years of fun fights. But he is at the end.PNUT901 likes this.
