I wont pay for any fight other than Benividas. I didnt buy Canelo vs Berlanga but saw it later. Berlanga I thought did good but still out classed.

Also you can't just toss aside ducking the #1 guy like its nothing. Benavides was #1 for about 5 years and canelo never fought him.
If you duck all the best guys and only fight second rate guys you are a fraud and your career is carefully hand picked. Whenever someone who was truly dangerous was around, canelo made sure he wasn't around.Last edited by daggum; 09-18-2024, 08:27 AM.

Since he won’t fight the greatest threat at Super Middleweight in David Benavidez or even a Terence Bud Crawford.for that matter; Then the winner of the Bivol/Beterbiev bout makes the most professional sense.Last edited by champion4ever; 09-18-2024, 08:33 AM.

Weird article. The whole thing is not from the POV of a fan or a journalist but as if we're all incredibly biased towards Canelo and hoping to see him cherry pick and/or drain opponents to unfair catchweights.
It wasn't that long ago that journalists would criticise boxers for not facing dangerous opponents. Now they come up with strategies to help them keep ducking endlessly.
Not even trying to be critical of those that gave contributions. They were asked a question, gave an answer. But it would've been better to ask them who they'd like to see Canelo fight instead of what his smartest ducking strategy would be. But then they all would've said Benavidez, which makes Canelo look bad, so of course you couldn't ask that.
How about an article on whether or not Canelo can even be considered a champion anymore, because the sport is so corrupt that the WBC and WBA froze out their own mandatories in order to favour Canelo, and it went on for so long that eventually both Benavidez and Morrell moved up because the sport is so rotten at this point that they knew they would never get the shot no matter what they did or how long they waited? But that wouldn't fit the agenda so nevermind.
Considering that this site has been pumping out so many anti-Saudi pieces and pro-Canelo pieces in the past couple of months, I'm gonna hope that Canelo works with the Saudis next just because it'll be funny to see this website suddenly do a complete 180 and start pushing propaganda in the opposite direction. "What should boxing do to counter the unholy Canelo-Turki alliance?" etc.Last edited by Clegg; 09-18-2024, 09:20 AM.

Like Canelo or not, he brings in the big crowds. I mean, Harrison Ford, legend, though not sure how much he follows boxing.
On opponents, probably not Benavidez next, as he's also in line for the Beterbiev-Bivol winner, barring a draw.
I'd guess Mbili, who would get beaten just as Berlanga and Munguia were.Last edited by Liondw; 09-18-2024, 09:23 AM.mgame likes this.

the trick in boxing is to somehow get the fans who pay to watch u which means u can click your fingers for an opponent & there is a line of them begging to fight u at all times, very simple but difficult to achieve concept

Beni has been noteworthy only the last 2 years and id love to see the fight but i get the fair well tour too. Its not canelos fault that the GGG fight wasn't a money maker when G was probably better. This game is about making money not what we want when we want it. I dont like it either.
G won the first fight so stop crying, cry baby.
