This article is pretty close to propaganda and the comments easily identify the PBC sycophants.

What exactly places Plant on a trajectory to be "iconic"? Defeating a limited titleholder in Uzcategui? The wins over Lee, Fiegenbutz and a shopworn Dirrell? The losses to Canelo and Benavidez?

He fought an entertaining fight against a limited fighter. Let's stop with the hyperbolic BS.

lol, came to the comments section and mostly did not disappoint. I think I can agree with anyone that says Plant hasn't really beat anyone and this win over McCumby where he was dropped himself doesn't exactly add anything to his career. It entertaining, yes, but so are many matchups on ProBOX and I'm not saying any of those guys are HOF worthy yet...

Ward and Gatti were not the top fighters when they fought but when they did, it stole the decade let alone the show.
Are these the offical PBC talking points? Just askin.

The Plant that fought Benavidez would be a very competitive fight for Canelo.

Plants a solid champion and I like him, but he’s not even close to HOF at this point!

He has much more work to do.

His fight against McCumby was fun, but it wasn’t anywhere near fight of the year.

LMAO. Jesus Christ. Lame ass post trying to make David's win seem more impressive. Caleb was the same exact fighter against David. David just couldn't get the job done because he's overrated and nowhere near the fighter canelo is. Even Trevor mcCumby hurt plant worse than David did. Plant is still the same exact fighter. No difference whatsoever. Defense is still dog **** and he's got a weak chin.

And truthfully canelo didn't even take him seriously. Half assed his training camp. Was spending time doing golf tournaments and showing up drunk at parties. The canelo that fought Mungia and berlanga knocks plant out in under 6 rounds. Nasty.
