I'm not opposed to this. I would assume it would be on a regular DAZN broadcast and not PPV. That would be shameless. Berlanga surprised me and I think his stock rose considerably. A fight in early 2025 would be great for him especially if it's in Puerto Rico.

Anybody could look "solid" against Canelo. He's only a inflated name. The money ruined his skills...

He won’t be a champion. He’s nowhere good enough. Berlanga is much bigger than Canelo. That’s what helped him go the distance. That and the fact that he didn’t fight to win. Guys like Morrell and Benavidez, when they were at 168, would’ve annihilated Edgar. He’ll probably get a fight with Plant in the near future…and lose.

Berlanga stock certainly has gone up a bit, boy proved he can at least hang in there against top guys ,def has a solid chin and some skills to a certain degree, ngl, Id like to watch him develop and take on the likes of Mungia , Plant , Mbilli , even McCumby would be interesting. Edgar in a good position here onwards.

Don't know why he's getting so much props in his fight with the Mexican fighter. All he did was to be in a defensive stance and I didn't see him trying to destroy the superstar of boxing. He's so massive and big, yet he's being walked down by a smaller man. And when he got knocked down, all he wanted to do from that point on was to last the distance. And we're supposed to be impressed by that.

Not even sure if you watched the fight. I expected him to be washed in 3 rounds and definitely not go 12. He had no respect for canelo and wasn’t scared to piss him off. Survival mode is what charlo did, Berlanga was definitely trying to win but was outmatched and out skilled. Probably because he never had 1 single round of experience against a champion or even a former champion before that night while canelo has been champ for 14 yrs. Which is exactly why canelo picked him.

People need to define "huge step up" clearly and realistically.

Huge step up should be all about in terms of taking high risk with low reward. Only fools turn down high reward fights. Why, because all you really have to do is show up, quit on your stool halfway into the fight, pretend you broke your hands, run all night, in other words, just go after the money...
