I don't think Berlanga is ready for this jump in class, Canelo will pretty much take whatever Edgar lands, I cant say the same about Edgar taking what Canelo lands, Saul is a class above this guy that's why they looking past him.

Win or lose, the Mexican superstar always follows his 2 fights a year schedule.

Whether he's looking past his current opponent or not is of no relevance.

He's amassing millions of dollars and can retire any time he wants to, but he'd rather stay active.

Unlike others who fight once every freaking year wasting their primes.

Yeah, also 'retired' big Charlo could be in the mix, Bud too.

What's next, can ask that later if one is still alive. All this looking too far ahead is no good, although you can plan, sure.

He might just say Benavidez, and he knows it's tough for David to make 168 lbs anymore. He'll beat him at super middleweight.

The biggest fight out there for Cinco De Mayo for Canelo is Crawford. As I watched yesterday's weigh-in, a couple of things stood out. One, is Canelo looked small compared to Berlanga. Two, he weighed around 166. Crawford fought recently at 154. That's only a difference of 12 pounds. While I believe, Canelo throws hard as a middleweight, he did not look invincible when he fought GGG at 160 (or whatever their catch weight was). There are those who believe that GGG lost at least one of those 3 fights (I believe Canelo won two, and the first was a draw).

Canelo VS Crawford is the best fight out there for Canelo - especially for the $$$. Benavidez is too big and has moved up in weight and Crawford VS Spence (or Boots, or Ortiz) is not intriguing enough. If Canelo doesn't fight a logical opponent in Crawford, my conclusion will be, that he's afraid to lose - not afraid to face Crawford....but afraid to lose!
