  • Comments Thread For: Danny Garcia, who has been here before, hoping history repeats itself

Danny Garcia has been in this exact position before: fighting in Las Vegas, on Sept. 14, in the co-main event of a major pay-per-view card headlined by Saul "Canelo" Alvarez. Can he repeat?

Gotta give credit to Swift Garcia for begging for this fight and got it. Adames and the Charlo brothers want none of that Lara smoke. Even when there's a title on the line.

Longevity? lol he’s avoided all the smoke for years. Bud had that side of the street shook. Good time to be inactive. We know what it is Danny. Smile and wave

I think Team Garcia just may be underestimating Lara just a bit. They perceive an opponent who is both old, shop worn, weak, vulnerable and no longer in his prime.

Which is the only reason why they are taking this fight to begin with. They are going to realize that Erislandy is a lot stronger and punches much harder than they thought.

To the point where he is going to have Danny fighting off the back foot in this fight. Moreover, contrary to popular belief; Swift is not this huge puncher that Lara should fear anyhow.

It’s easy to have longevity when you barely fight. Garcia is an example of what PBC has created. Fighters with potential to have excellent careers doing the bare minimum to make money and not actually chase greatness. Danny had a great start with his wins at 140 and then got complacent.

Danny was always scared to be kod. He will lose his credibility. Hopefully Lara puts his lights out

Imagine getting a surgeon diploma and then telling everyone you hate to cut people up.

Imagine having fought twice in the last four years, not having held a belt in over seven years and having NEVER even FOUGHT at middleweight...and getting a title shot.

                    I hear you.

They better cut that chit out, or people on the internet might get suspicious and start asking questions.

                    The shame.
