Plant fights are always a fun watch. He's one of those top tier gatekeepers, I always appreciate guys like that as they are often who make the sport great overall.
He's something like an A-minus fighter who gives great rounds against elites but just doesn't quite have all the tools to edge out the life changing W's.

Been in some wars though- wonder if we'll see any of those effects take shape anytime soon

yeah but he fights the c level guys consistently. he has fought like 2 real guys and he hasn't looked very good.

agreed 100% not sure why ppl can't understand that in which you explain here. he gets alot of hate. I think he a good fighter and a good fighters attitude. Just is a b level guy. he either overwatch against his 2 real fights. or he is matched with c level guys who are overwatch ed. they need to match him up with other b tier guys but don't for some reason. bad matchmakers?

I don't get why grown men here are criticizing Plant for silly things like his beard. Nobody is criticizing Nova's golden beard.

Or for throwing a drink at Garcia for talking about his wife. Would you let Garcia talk about your wife?

I think it's because he's white, and not allowed to be real. Right or wrong, everybody expects for black dudes to be street. But the white guy is somehow phony or frontin if he busts.

1. Fought Canelo and Benavidez (Did anybody else do that? Even canelo wont fight benavidez)

2. Owned Charlo for talking smack. In fact he kinda owned them both because the other Charlo did nothing too.

3. Doesn't duck and will step to somebody when necessary.

He doesn't have to be the greatest. He is a top tier gatekeeper like somebody else said.

Real recognizes real.
