His intentions are pretty obvious... He definitely understands PR work. Whether he is hated or loved, people will tune in and them checks will be cashed either way.. He's going the Mayweather villain route except Mayweather's lips weren't as loose and I believe Floyd is a good guy deep inside... Not many know but Floyd did some noble things like pay for the funeral expenses of Chicanito Hernandez.

Shakur has had all but 3 fights at 135. His debut at 135 was against Yoshino and he KO’d him in 6 rounds. So two fights later at 135 and he hasn’t looked impressive?
Anyone at 135 fighting De Los Santos is NOT going to look impressive. Neither Tank nor Haney will beat De Los Santos easy. If anything, Haney will get beat up by him.
Shakur is 27 years old and has won titles at three weight classes, are you relegating him to a “hype job”?Comment

So what is so great about him? Being a weight bully and can't even stop smaller opponents. He gets crap for not risking and being a boring fighter.Comment

Shakur fought better comp than Ryan? Tank is at least 10 levels above anybody Shakur has fought other than DLS. With that being said, Shakur ran from his best competition the entire fight.Comment

Not every boxer has the same punching qualities and Shakur is making the best of what qualities he does posses.. He's still relatively young and I'm HOPING his next two fights bring out the best in him and he is able to display the caliber that many including his new promoter believe he possesses.
Just imagine what a terrific fight Shakur-Zepeda can produce if Shakur steps up his offense a bit. I'm hoping Shakur turns it around and wants to prove his doubters wrong. If he does, the demand for him to fight Tank and Loma will only increase...Comment

I happen to think that his defense and ring generalship are great. His awareness, discipline and technique are excellent as well. I too would like to see him be more aggressive, but the guy might have brittle hands for all we know. Mayweather had hand issues early on and was close to retiring but his cut and hand man Rafael Garcia saved his career.
