AB was a multi weight champ and one of the best boxers we've ever seen. Him and Caleb earned millions of dollars for their hard work and dedication. Something you and I could never dream of accomplishing in our lives. LETS GO CALEB AND AB!!!!
I'm not a boxer, but I'm very good at what I do, and I'm quite successful.
And whether we agree if Broner was good or not, he's prolonging a career that should have been over prepandemic for sure. He purposely avoids talented boxers who have power (and he talks a lot of crap, which is irritating because he's fugaze). He knows once he steps in the ring with that type of fighter, that his career is over. It might be over, anyways, since he lost his last fight.....and tooth.
And Plant is overrated. He's just good enough to win some and lose some at the elite level - sort of like a Regis Prograis.
The bar can be incredibly low to be a champion but, to your point, he beat faded former champions so I should have used a different metric.
Truax was coming off a majority decision against journeyman David Basajjamivule. Dirrell was washed up at that point too, he had been gifted a draw against Kyrone Davis. At the time Plant fought those two, they weren't fighting at a level where either would likely have won a championship.
