  • Comments Thread For: Canelo Alvarez making moves on his terms - 'and I'm in no hurry'

Believe him or not, Saul "Canelo" Alvarez maintains that his career vision is more of an event-by-event analysis rather than a grand plan extending years into the future.

Canelo knows as well as the next man being in your "physical prime" isn't the same as your boxing prime, there has been clear slippage for multiple fights now.

A "prime" example of that was Tyson whos prime was arguably in the late 80s yet he was years away from what would be considered his physical prime.

In fact you could argue his decline started as he entered the aforementioned "prime" years (30-40).

Also it's mad to me he's claiming to be the best fighter, he isn't considered the best fighter by anyone unless your up his ring piece.

Floyd is considered a ducker but canelo gets to choose when and who he wants to fight? Canelo fanboys are dummies.

There you have it, Canelo admits carrying Munguia which I thought he could had taken him out any point of the fight. Munguia had no answers when Canelo countered him or had a sustained attack.

I respect Canelo, Floyd and Jake Paul but they obviously DO NOT fight competitively. I'm sorry but I'm over it, I don't care anymore!

Boxing is a sport of competition and yet every dam article is about some non competitive fight with a named actor being rammed down our throat like Adam Driver.

I don't mean to disrespect guys that like this sort of thing but these types of exhibitions are pure entertainment in the category of Butterbean, they mean nothing to the competitive sport of boxing.

If promoters are this hard up for content they should finance Atomic Blond vs John Wick. It's cheaper to make, 10 times more entertaining, $10.00 tickets and all without diluting REAL competitive sports.
