Comments Thread For: Daniel Dubois fighting fit for Anthony Joshua after emerging from 'dark' time

Since it has been announced, I have consistently felt three things:
1) That is a good tussle coming. Both men have a lot to lose, and a ton to gain. We will see them both at their best.
2) DuBois can absolutely win this. 100%.
3) Joshua is gonna fight from distance and win this fight. Cannot see it any other way.

I honestly think it’s a 50/50 fight. Both guys have power but not the sturdiest chin. Whoever gets hurt first is going to lose.CPNUTKnockoutFreshMart likes this.

Very few people genuinely believe that Daniel Dubois can beat Anthony Joshua 'But many people want Dubois to beat Joshua, and they are PLAYING off this WANTING as belief'.
I have come across a new narrative in regards to this fight 'I have seen Joshua's critics claiming, that if this fight goes past 5 rounds. Then this type of fight, will start to move back towards Daniel Dubois'.
One of Daniel Dubois worst attributes in my opinion, has been his endurance 'When you compare him to the truly World and Elite level fighters at the very top of the sport'.
Out of both Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois 'Only one of these fighters has been knocked out by a jab? That fighter is Daniel Dubois'.
Now I have referenced this fact in my prior posts, to show evidence that 'Dubois does not have superior durability to Joshua. Dubois has never achieved a feat of durability, that compares to Anthony Joshua being decked by Wladimir Kiltschko. To then getting up off the canvas, surviving more bombardment from Kiltschko to then eventually fighting his way back into the fight and winning via Brutal Knockout'.
I have always rated Anthony Joshua's performance vs Wladimir Kiltschko, from a share physiological perspective 'As a greater performance than Tyson Fury's win over Wladimir Kiltschko. Joshua's win was more conclusive, and he was actually fighting a better prepared Wladmir Kiltschko'.
Many people like to overlook the fact, that the version of Wladimir Kiltschko who Anthony Joshua beat in his 19th professional fight 'Joshua beat the version of Wladimir Kiltschko, who Tyson Fury should of fought in their scheduled rematch which he pulled out of twice',
Wladimir Kiltschko never retired after losing 1 fight to Tyson Fury 'Kiltschko immediately initiated his rematch clause. And over a duration of 17 months, Wladimir Kiltschko had to endure three back to back training camps'.
By the time Tyson Fury pulled out of this scheduled rematch twice, unfortunately due to this then circumstance 'Wladimir Kiltschko had endurance multiple training camps, in total before Kiltschko fought Anthony Joshua he endured three back to back training camps'.
Wladimir Kiltschko weighed in at 240 pounds vs Anthony Joshua, compared to 245 pounds vs Tyson Fury 'Kiltschko is a expert in his field of science, and by his estimation he was better prepared and in superior condition for his fight vs Anthony Joshua'.
This is why in terms of pure performance, I have always rated Anthony Joshua's win over Wladimir Kiltschko 'Superior to Tyson Fury's win'.
Note: But on the topic of Daniel Dubois 'And I just wanted to speak about a certain narrative surrounding this fight. There is a narrative that if this fight turns into a distance fight, that type of competition will favour Daniel Dubois'.
Daniel Dubois has lost fights in the past, both due to his endurance, durability and dear I say it? Resolve being smashed 'Dubois has shown courage in all of his fights, but I disagree with anyone who believes he has shown the level of resolve and durability of Anthony Joshua'.
Anthony Joshua on his worst night, during his worst performance 'Got up off the canvas 4 times, vs Andy Ruiz Junior, The reality of that fight, is that Joshua would of fought on if the referee signalled the fight to continue'.
But in this posts, I am not really focusing on the durability of each fighter 'I mainly wanted to speak about the endurance levels'.
All of sudden within the boxing community, Daniel Dubois endurance is being vastly overrated 'Certain folk in the boxing community are just bestowing him with this super powers, because they want him to beat Anthony Joshua'.
Both Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua 'Have been criticized slightly, that they fatigued in there fights vs Oleksandr Uysk. Yes they did both fatigue, Tyson Fury to a greater extent than Anthony Joshua 'But the fact is, Fury and Joshua endured and fought through the fatigued and still were able to fight until the 12 round of the fight'.
In comparison Daniel Dubois weighed in at 233 pounds 'Dubois clearly trained for endurance, and speed for that fight. By round 5 of that fight, Dubois completely disintegrate. Anyone who was watching the fight, could see that Oleksandr Uysk was going to then apply the pressure and dominate the fight'.
Today I just wanted to highlight, this aspect of Daniel Dubois game 'And none of his recent fights, have proven that all of a sudden he has Joe Calzaghe type endurance levels. Dubois has produced two solid wins, vs fighters who themselves have under par endurance levels'.
I don't want to see anybody here ever 'Referencing Dubois performance vs Miller, as evidence that he has great endurance. Miller is not a great athlete, even by the standards of the general public.
Anthony Joshua in comparison 'Is pound for pound most likely the best athlete overall that Daniel Dubois has ever fought. Joshua after the 2012 Olympics, won the Super Stars competition 'Which was a Athletic competition, were athletes from all sports most of them Olympians, compete against one another in various athletic disciplines 'Anthony Joshua won the entire event'.
To conclude: In my previous posts in regards to this fight, I have issue a warning 'Out to all of Anthony Joshua's critics, who want Daniel Dubois to win this fight. And from this wanting, they are bestowing Dubois with attribute's and abilities he has not really proven to a high level'.
My warning goes like this 'There is still time on the clock, between now and September 21st 2024. Time on the clock for all you people to check yourselves in regards to this fight. If you folk don't check yourselves before September 21st, there is a extremely high likely-hood that? The objective reality of Anthony Joshua's game is going to hit you with extreme force'.
Goodness me, I watched a review of this fight the other day 'If Dubois does not shake Joshua in the first 2-3 rounds, he will enter into a extremely bad and dangerous situation'.
But even before this point, Daniel Dubois is immediately stylistically in a very difficult fight 'I don't think this fight is stylistically a good fight for Dubois'.
If Dubois game plan, is to pressure Joshua 'Then he needs a great defense while on the offense, and this is attribute we have never seen from Dubois to a high level'. This is once again, why I state that 'People really need to check themselves in regards to this fight, before September 21 st' etc.

I'm not convinced that Joshua has his confidence back.
From crushing cans since losing twice to Usyk, plus a heap of ring rust to shake off after 2 rounds of nothing from an MMA guy 18 months ago, he's really up against it.
Doobie is riding high on confidence since his loss to Usyk and has plenty of quality rounds banked. The last thing he'll be is rusty.
Joshua could easily have faced Hrgovic - and maybe won - to be in the spot Doobie is as email IBF champ, yet he didn't even want a bar of ol man Zhang or shot-to-bits Wilder let alone Hrgy. That doesn't speak of a guy wanting the smoke and prepared to walk through fire. That speaks more of roast duck.
The simple fact is, AJ hasn't copped a shot thrown with bad intentions - outside of sparring -by someone as bullish as Doobie in a good while. He's also gonna have headbutts galore to deal with based on Doobie's recent outing.
And let's not forget Klitschko was 7 years ago while AJ's Olympic gold was 12. That's a loooong time past to draw inspiration and confidence from, especially as he's been cracked, quit, melted down, spoonfed cans and ducked any top tier fighters apart from Usyk, who schooled him.
For me, it's as much wanting Doobie to win as that he's also better prepared to win.

It's a pickem, with Josh being favourite. Dubois latest wins are better I think. But come to think of it, the otto wallin and jermain win is good, and the Francis ngannou win must give Josh confidenceLast edited by hugh grant; 09-06-2024, 02:58 AM.Patsfan bri likes this.

It is 50 -50 fight really. It is not like Joshua beat many top 10 guys since two back to back losses against Usyk.
Joshua is still the same guy.CPNUTKnockoutFreshMart
