It is a little of both. Americans especially in hard times want to watch a fellow American kick ass at something. Plus Floyd being American just makes it a much easier sell to the American public.

Also Floyd is a hustler he drums up a ton of interest for his fight by any means and as time goes on that gets easier because he will have more and more media outlets that want to talk to him.

This is true Pacquiao may have been adopted here but there is a large portion who dont know. I guess we will get a better idea of how he draws numbers soon.

This month, Mayweather has been all over the place. Remember that Pacquiao was on the under card to Mayweather vs. Jesus Chavez, I really don't see that excuse. We're talking about one being American and is constatnly labeled as "Boring", where as the other; Manny Pacquiao is seen as exciting. Having destroyed DLH/ Hatton...being the number 1 P4P. Pacquiao is known, VERY known.

Like I said, the difference is Mayweather is out there, Pacquiao isn't or not nearly as much.

Unless Floyd comes out and blasts Sch for saying a ****** comment like that, then Floyd's team has considered Alvarez.

The fact that you call yourself P4P 1 and consider a prospect just because of money and not go for legacy when you already money and fight Cotto, Mosley, Williams of course he's going to get flamed.

They just didnt say ooo Alvarez vs Floyd for the hell of it, theres legit claim behind it.

                    Dom,

                    It won't.

When you hear Richard talk about 600K buys for Pac-Cotto, he isn't far off.

Say whatever you want about Richard Schaefer. He's a fat Swiss banker who is all about money and he is bad for boxing and he kisses Oscar's butt yadda yadda.

The reality is that Richard man knows his business.

He told you that 'The World Awaits' would break all records. It did.

He told you that 'Undefeated' would do a million buys. It did 950K.

He told you that 'Numero Uno' would do over a million buys. It did.

Dana White tried to lie about the UFC numbers. Richard challenged him and offered to PAY for the audit. Dana backed down

By contrast, Arum has either lied, or been wrong, at every step.

Arum said that Pac-Hatton would do 1.6 million. It did 825k.

Arum said that "Firepower" was sold out. Tickets are STILL available.

                    Sabes?

                      .
Why would Floyd blast Richard for a video in which Richard was overwhelmingly complimentary? And acting on floyd's behalf?

Did you hear how dismissive that Richard was about the fans and media? Did you hear?

Who sees these interviews? casual fans? Never. mainstream fans? never.

Mojita, i think Schaefer knows a bit more about the promotions business than you do. No offense.
