Fair enough, but Norman Jr is another step up. It's an intriguiging matchup of young lions for sure. Both guys will want to be compensated well for it, but neither guy is close to being a PPV attraction so there might not be enough money to satisfy both. I'd be very surprised to hear that this fight comes off this or next year.

Do you now see the difference on non-PBC fights when it comes to media coverage? It's completely open to the public isn't it?

There's never been this kind of coverage when Ennis was still with Showtime and PBC mysterious island. He was dormant for months to a year, yet no one had a clue what's going on. And PBC got plenty of names for him in the stable, Stanionis, Barrios, Butaev, Kavaliauskas, Josesito Lopez, Crowley, Avanesyan should have been made early.

Teo Lopez had been sending messages out there mentioning Crawford and Ennis indicating his intention to move up.
The Bobfather would be happy to give him Norman, see him lose and pass the torch to Brian, but it seems Teo wants Turki-level money.
And it looks like Alalshikh hasn't even warmed up on Ennis let alone Lopez to start putting money on their fights.

I did say (but untested champions some would say), with the emphasis being on some would say.

If you've never fought a former or current world champion. You're untested

Hearn must realise that to have 'Boots' on his books he's going to cost money . Everyone who puts up against Boots knows they are in trouble , so they'll want paying very well. Money talks so it looks like Hearn is trying lowball these guys , otherwise I'm sure he'd have some takers. I hope Hearn steps it up here, Boots deserves at least that at this stage.

You're right , Turki isn't going to finance a Teofimo fight with Teofimo being so inconsistent . He's a bad investment. The "Takeover" only exists in his mind. I can definitely see Bob using him to lift Brian Normans profile. Beating Teofimo isn't a bad idea before fighting Boots in order to have a better bargaining position. I don't think that there's time for that though, because the Boots / Norman fight sounds like it's next, they're just working out the money now. He could feed Teo to Brian if he beats Boots , or use him in a comeback fight. Bob has to be tired of Teofimos bullshlt and complaining about Top Rank . Besides, Bob loses money on him. He can't even "Takeover" the small room at MSG.

If it's not next , they should both try to get another belt and fight each other for Undisputed. If he's not going to shoot for undisputed at 47 , Boots would probably be better off going to 54. There are a bunch of good fights that can be made there. If I'm Turki , I'd try to make an 8 man single elimination tournament at 54 , and I would make it happen quick not a couple of years like tournaments sometimes take. The tournament at 160 with Holmes , Joppy , Hopkins , and Trinidad was a good one that people didn't lose interest in.

Look at all these PBC fanboys coming out in droves talk about fighters getting lowballed, and their negativities. They weren't as critical when Ennis was dormant and can't get fights when he was with with Showtime and PBC were they? They don't even want him to sign with anyone else and stay dormant. Amazing fanboys.

Teo Lopez vs Brian Norman is far from happening. Lopez didn't want it.
He's been getting $2 million per fight even on Thurday fights. He probably won't take it even with double the amount.
