What's so wrong with Canelo Alvarez giving us boxing fans the fights that we are willing to pay him to see? Historically, that's what prizefighters like Sugar Ray Leonard used to do all the time.
They assume the most risk for the most amount of money. After a damn near 20 year career; At the very least he owes the boxing public a minimum of one fan appreciation fight who've supported him for his entire career.
What a very mean and selfish S.O.B. he is? Which is why he would never be remembered as one of the all-time Mexican great fighters like Julio Cesar Chavez, Sr and Salvador Sanchez.Leave a comment:

Saul was at one point an exciting fighter to watch, and then he become Canelo. The only reason to watch any of his fights these days is to hope beyond hope that some rando trash can he's decided to fight lands a Hail Mary and humbles him. It's why the Bivol fight was so satisfying, seeing him get absolutely and effectively outworked.
Quite frankly, I no longer care if he ever fights Benavidez. Canelo is aging, greedy, and lacks true fighting spirit. Benavidez, while still exciting and willing to do what it takes, has lost some of his shine with that Gvozdyk sparring session. I'd probably cave and still pay to see it, but no way in hell will I pay for anything else coming from Canelo's Showcase O' No Hopers.Leave a comment:

Not with you, I refer to others, you know who they're. I do believe that some how he knows what fans post on sites like this and Twitter, someone from his entourage is doing PR and damaged controlLeave a comment:

The moment I mentioned random drug testing for Canelo many of his fans lost their fucking minds. What is so wrong to know whether a fighter is still doping or not?
Not once that I even mentioned that he was dirty. I was just curious to know whether he was or not that’s all because of a potential fight with Terence Crawford.
Boxing fans have every right to know where both his power and stamina is coming from at these late stages of a damn near 20 year career.Last edited by champion4ever; 08-27-2024, 08:12 AM.Leave a comment:

canelo is such a *****.
canelo says he could beat benavidez and talks **** about him.
refuses to fight him and his daddy Sulimon at WBC protected him when he should have stripped Canelo for refusing to face their mandatory. I dont even know how that is possible to refuse to fight the mandatory and keep your belt. WBC is the most corrupt of all the boxing organizations and that says a lot.
mexicans and all fight fans should boycott canelo at this point its a joke, stop giving him your money
This looks to be no different.
It’s kinda’ like when you see the WBO having a bunch of PR champs…you kinda’ give it the side eye and wonder how much of that is through hard work and how much of it is the organization manufacturing champions (the WBO specifically) so they can keep saying, “PR produces more champions per capota than any other country.”
Now feel bad cause I teed off on my own country.Leave a comment:

I mean….he’s not wrong. Kudos to Benavidez for going straight for the jugular at 175, but he’s entering hallowed grounds by fighting a career 175 pounder who is a level-headed disciplined boxer. I’d pick Bivol over Benavidez, Morrell, and Canelo. None of those three could beat him.
They can probably beat any 175 pounder, but not Bivol. I’d also favor Beterbiev but with all his outside the ring injuries and age he’s potentially turning himself into a Zab Judah surprise box. Any one of those days he’s going to climb up there and it’s going to bite him in his rear end.Leave a comment:
