In 2024, it is considerably tougher to trick contestants and audiences in the same way. This is because we now like to believe we are suddenly purveyors of good taste and that what once passed for entertainment in the nineties and noughties no longer has a place in civilized society. And yet, in conflict with this is the fact that we are these days desensitized and not as easily shocked, meaning the reality TV of today has to be politically correct but also inventive; inventive enough to at least grab our attention and stop us from scrolling.

Lots of people long to see Mike Tyson fight again. They don’t care how it happens. Jake is trying his darndest to hype this thing up. It makes people want to see him KTFO. It’s a freak show, but I must admit that I’m curious to see how Mike looks. I think most of us are.

When the article refers to the sickness of society because most of us have some appetite for gruesome entertainment then it makes sense. No different to crowds turning up to see public stonings, floggings and executions or burning of witches and Christians fed to lions even further back.

But stating that Tyson and Paul are being duped is just disingenuous. They are laughing all the way to the bank and both know what they are involved in.

Tyson vs Paul is just a joke, both want money and exposure. Jake is just a clown who thinks he is a great boxer but in reality has never fought against real boxers. Tyson is 58 years old, what more can you say? I wouldn't spend a single dollar to watch them.

jake can fight since when? hes at this like 5-6 years now and he just fought another MMA guy last month. now hes fighting a 58 year old that shouldnt even be licensed and had to reschedule due to the 58 year olds health issues. The ONE time he fought a guy his age and size who was in the financial position to not take a dive, he lost... big surprised at that, he lost to a reality TV star.
